Chapter Twenty-Six

I wiped a tear off my cheek as I crumpled my paper.

I am not used to failing.

Kaya hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit sobrang hirap nitong quiz namin! Nag-basa naman ako. Bakit gano'n yung mga tanong?!

I walked out of the building and straight towards the parking area. I immediately closed the car door and brought out my phone to text Z. Hindi naman ako nage-expect ng reply dahil alam kong may klase siya, kaya hinayaan ko nalang na mag-send ang messages ko kahit na hindi niya pa mababasa. Maybe he can read them later.

I then tried to message Vale. Alam kong tapos na ang klase nila for the day, and I would honestly love to have company.

Lia Chen:

Vance Lawrence Enrique:
What happened?

Lia Chen:
R we going to inom

Vance Lawrence Enrique:
Ok lang kayo ni Z?
Uminom na kayo kagabi ah hahahaha

Lia Chen:
We r okay
We did not get drunk
Ok maybe Mage got drunk
My bad

Vance Lawrence Enrique:
Eh umiinom ka lang naman pag di kayo okay eh hahaha

Lia Chen:
My day sucked :/

Vance Lawrence Enrique:
Where are you?

Lia Chen:
School palang

Uwi ka muna so you can park
I'll pick you up sa inyo

Lia Chen:

Hays nasa maling Enrique ata ako ah

Vance Lawrence Enrique:

I started the car as I placed my phone on the cup holder. Wala pang 10 minutes, nakarating na ako sa bahay namin. Sobrang lapit rin lang kasi.

Once I got home, Vale was already pulling up in front of our gate, kaya binusinahan ko muna siya at kinawayan bago ipasok sa loob yung sasakyan ko. I didn't even bother to go inside the house. I grabbed my bag and locked the car before running back outside the gate and to Vale's Ranger.

"Hello," bati ko sa kaniya sabay sara nung pintuan. "Ang bilis mo."

"Maaga kaming na-dismiss. It's Saturday."

"Si Raffy? Ena?"

He cleared his throat. "Hinatid ko si Selena kanina pagkatapos namin kumain sa sisigan."

"And Raffy?"

Lumunok siya at nag-simulang mag-drive. "May ibang nag-hatid."

I suppressed a smile. "Sino?"

"Ewan, Claude ata pangalan." He shrugged.

"Really? Noestro drove her home?" I tried to hide my shock, but I couldn't. Raffy did mention being friends with Ezra back in high school, but I never really thought that she and Claude were that close.

If Raffy's on her way to having a relationship, and with Claude Noestro at that, then good for her. I'd totally support her a hundred percent.. if it weren't for the fact that we all know Vale's been crushing on her for the longest time.

"Okay lang 'yan." I patted his head. "You're so slow naman kasi."

"Huh?" Kumunot ang noo niya. "Wala naman akong pakialam."
