The ball hit the floor. I stared at it for a second, and the crowd suddenly went wild. A long whistle came from the referee and the other team suddenly started screaming from the top of their lungs.
Everyone started jumping and screaming, and I was left dumbfounded.

"Okay lang!" sigaw ng captain namin. "May game 3 pa! At least we won the first game!"
"I.. I didn't think they'd block it," mahina kong sabi.
"Ako may kasalanan. Hindi ko nakuha agad pagka-block nila," sabi naman nung libero namin.
"Guys.. stop blaming yourselves! It happens, we win some, we lose some."
"S-sorry." I let out a frustrated sigh. "Sorry talaga!"
"Bawi!" sigaw ulit ng captain namin.
I looked at the crowd and immediately saw Mage who had a huge smile on her face.
"Let's go, Chen! Bawi next game!"
Somehow, it took a load off my shoulders. Ang haba nung last na rally and I didn't think the other team had it in them to block my spike again. But they did.
Dumiretso ako kay Mage pagka-labas namin ng court. We all tried to cool down, the coach gave us a few encouraging words for the next game, and then fixed our stuff.
"Lia, nice game today." Our captain patted me on the back as we walked down the stairs. "Hindi pa tayo talo. It's hars talaga not being in our own court, but we'll push through. Home court 'to ng UB, they definitely have an advantage with the crowd."
I gave her a smile. "Thanks, Cap."
"Ganyan talaga 'yan nung high school pa kami. Feeling niya siya pinaka-magaling sa court. May isang beses, nag-laro kami sa school nila, tapos tinarget niya 'tong si Cloie! Threatened ata sa'yo, Cap?"
"Chen is a good player. Yun lang ang masasabi ko. Nakakatakot lang talaga siya tignan."
"Weh, masyado kang mabait! Ang totoo niyan, suplada 'yon na spoiled rich kid. Privileged siya masyado."
"Diba naging sila ni Nathan Enrique? Yung nasa Manila na ngayon? Bakit kaya sila nag-break? Nakita ko nalang bigla sa instagram nila wala na pictures ng isa't isa, e."
"Sus, baka nga kasi may attitude problems si girl?"
"Mukha nga naman siyang rich kid. Maganda pa naman siya, sayang naman kung pangit yung ugali."
"Huy, na-meet namin si Z noon sa Super Cup nung High School kami! Magkaibigan kasi sila ni Cloie. Ang gwapo niya, ang bait bait pa. Feeling ko di niya lang talaga natiis ugali nung babaeng 'yon."
"Excuse me, sorry. Excuse me. Lia? Lia! Does anybody know where I can find Lia Chen?"
Napatingin kaming lahat sa babaeng may hawak ng blue na balloons. She walked past the group of girls talking about me just now and smiled once she saw me.
"Magui.."
"Huy, anjan lang pala yung pinag-uusapan niyo, tanga."
Our captain looked pissed. Everyone else in my team looked sorry for me. I didn't know what I should feel. Pero parang hindi ko kayang mag-salita.
"See you all at the next game." Our captain waved and guided us to move faster.
Binilisan naming lahat ang pag-lalakad namin, pero may isang babaeng pinagtatawanan nanaman ang pangalan ko kaya napatigil kaming lahat.
