Thank You Lord! Salamat rin sa mga naniwala't sumuporta :)

Agad akong napa-tayo sa pagka-higa ko nang makita ko ang pangalan ni Z. It's been years since his silence on social media. After our break-up, I didn't have to block him because.. he disappeared all by himself. No posts, no anything.

And now.. after all these years..

He's finally a licensed physician.

He achieved his dreams.

The dreams he was once willing to throw away, just like that.

I closed the civil law reviewer on my lap and fixed my posture. I let out a breath as I typed in Z's name on the search bar. I held my breath as my phone showed me the last conversation we had, which was from more than six years ago.

Phew.

Kaya ko 'to.

I'm just congratulating him.

Nothing wrong with that, right?

Lia Chen:

Nathan! Just heard the news. Congrats, doc! :)

Mabilis niyang nakita ang message ko. Somehow, my heart felt like it was running a marathon. The three dots kept appearing and disappearing for approximately 5 minutes. It was nerve-wracking.

Nathan Zion Enrique:

Lia! Thank you :) I hope you're doing well.

Lia Chen:

I am. Thank you. I hope you are, too.

Siyempre oo 'yan, MD ka na eh :D

Nathan Zion Enrique:

Hahahaha muntik na nga ako mawalan ng pag-asa!

Lia Chen:

Diba sabi ko naman sa'yo, kaya mo? Haha congrats again :)

Nathan Zion Enrique:

How could I forget? You were always one to believe in me, even in the worst times

My heart was pounding. I couldn't bring myself to type anything else, because I couldn't say anything else. Ang sakit pa rin pala. Ang sakit sakit. Kahit pala ilang taon na ang naka-lipas, nandito pa rin. Somewhere, deep inside my heart, there's a closed door where all of the pain and hurt and betrayal that came from Z is placed. That door's been chained and locked for a few years now. Buried, deep inside my heart. I thought it was flowing out to the unknown ocean, but in reality it was just buried six feet under. And now that door's squeaking open.

Nope.

No. Not letting that open.

Lia Chen:

I have to go. Congrats again, Nathan. God bless! :)
