Chapter 7: Identity

Liana's walking the streets of Metropolis with Jimmy and she says, "I write news stories, not fairy tales. Especially ones about mythical saviors no one's ever seen." Jimmy says, "Look, I may not have a name or a face to connect him with. But I am telling you, this stealth crime fighter is as real as it gets." Liana sighs and thinks that Jimmy should really drop the subject, but she knows he won't. Jimmy continues to say, "Trust me, this is the kind of story that careers are made of." Liana says, "Well, without a photo, that story isn't gonna make anyone believe he's real." Jimmy says, "I bet you Clark won't feel that way after I pitch him the story over dinner tonight." Liana says, "Wait. Clark's coming to dinner with us?" Jimmy says, "Yeah, I had a feeling you were too much of a cynic for such an uplifting piece. But, hey, you know, C.K. will be all over this." Liana says, "I wouldn't be so sure." Jimmy then gets tackled into the wall and he punches Jimmy and Jimmy falls to the ground. The guy has a knife in his hand and points it at Liana and says, "Give me the purse!" Liana kicks the knife out of his hands and punches him in the face. The guy grabs her arms and Liana yells, "Jimmy! Get a picture of his face." The guy then pushes Liana in front of an oncoming car and Clark speeds in and pushes her out the way. Liana sees she's on the other side of the road and she knows that Clark saved her. Jimmy looks at his camera and says, "Oh, my God. It's him." Liana walks over to Jimmy and widens her eyes at the photo Jimmy took of Clark.
