3rd Person POV

In the west in Asia or more specifically China, dark and stormy clouds hung over the area of a massive city that stretched over 100 miles long and was surrounded by walls that reached 50 feet tall this city was the Mongolian Empire capitol of Karakorum. In the center of this city was a mountain with a massive extravagant palace.

However, outside the city two dragons flew towards the city, on both dragons were masked dragon riders. Behind the riders were wounded Mongolian soldiers who came from the city of Baku, guards on the wall looked through telescopes and were ready to fire but one spotted the flag of the Mongolian Empire flying behind the lead rider.

The two dragons flew to the palace atop the mountain and landed at the front of the palace steps, the lead rider and other ride dismounted their dragons and walked to guards standing by the steps, "Injured" the lead rider said and the guards nodded their heads and called out for immediate assistance. The two riders walked up the steps of the palace and the standing guards opened the palace doors letting the two inside.

Walking through the palace they reached the throne room of the palace and in the throne sat the legendary Genghis Khan.

The throne room was beautiful, the room was lit up by torches, the walls and floor had a golden color to it including the pillars along the walkway leading to the throne itself. Guards wearing golden and iron armor stood by the Emperor of the Mongolian Empire.

The two riders stood before their emperor and removed their masks and bowed to their leader, "Rise my son and his loyal assistant" Genghis ordered his son and his assistant to rise. Looking up to his father the two men shared smiles to each other, "Chaghatai Khan, what has happened in Baku" Genghis asked his son firmly, "Father I am not sure, we were attacked by the Persians, but they had help"

"What kind of help Chaghatai?"

"A force more advanced than us, they spoke a weird language and had magical staffs that fired projectiles at us, and they had these iron monsters and flying metal"

The nearby servants even the guards listening in on the news were intrigued and curious about the people who helped the Persians take control of Baku. "They wiped out the entire occupying force?" Genghis asked to which Chaghatai nodded, Genghis Khan sighed and rubbed his head, "Not good where are they?" Genghis asked.

"Not sure but if I had to guess they're in Egypt"

"Then if that's the case we must destroy them if we are to defeat Persia, prepare an army and march to Egypt my son" Genghis Khan ordered his son who bowed his head and left to turn with his assistant.

Exiting the throne room, Chaghatai turned to his assistant who was really his good friend, Batuhan who had smooth caramel skin tone, sapphire eyes, brown hair cut into a buzzcut. He bore light leather armor with flaps that covered the side and back of his legs, this armor had a built-in hood and mask for when he was flying. On his hip a Morningstar mace was seethed.

"Batuhan prepare 300 flyers for a combat mission, make sure they are fed and highly alert because we ride tomorrow" Chaghatai ordered his friend who patted his shoulder and nodded, the two shared a smile before walking away to attend to his duty.

Meanwhile in Persian Egypt

William and his friends were strolling around the city celebrating with handfuls of other soldiers the victory in Baku. They were inside a local bar drinking alongside Persian soldiers and citizens.

However, William was sitting at a table by himself writing a letter to his mother.

Dear Mother,

This is the first letter I will have written to you; I am very sorry I haven't talked to you since I left, and I bet you want to hit me right now.

To give a breakdown of what's happened, while sailing we encountered a boat with people from this world, we then sailed through the Strait of Gibraltar, and you won't believe it, but we found civilization! And its Persian controlled Egypt!

We had a rough start with the locals, but we met the king, King Darius and made peace between the Persian Empire and the United States, wow those are two names that shouldn't be together but are. Me and my Norwegian friend Aseir have traveled with Admiral Halsey to the Persian Capitol of Persepolis where, mom they have a tower that must be around 10 kilometers tall.

King Darius brough us there to ask for help because apparently the Mongolian Empire exists here to! And apparently, they and the Persians are nearing war and that's where something happened today.

During the day we along with Persian soldiers approached a coastal city named Baku where Mongolian soldiers held the city captive, we charged into the city and a battle broke out. I shot some people mom, and I watched some good people die, but I'm okay if you're wondering and did, I mention that dragons exist in this world too because we were attacked by some, they were brutal creatures, but we held them and captured the city.

I'll say again I'm doing okay mom, and I'm afraid that war is right around the corner, and I promise I'll be safe.

Your son, William Montana

Setting the pencil down William looked at the letter and felt a hand on his shoulder, recognizing the hand he turned around to see his now good friend Lakota. "Writing a letter home?" he asked looking at the paper in front of William, "Yes I am, I just described everything that happened in a nutshell" William said chuckling to himself. Lakota patted Williams back and smiled, "Come on we defeated an occupying Mongolian force, gonna drink?" Lakota asked giving William a 'I know you want to' look to which William scoffed and stood up, "Let's have a drink".
