Chapter 9: Incoming, Incoming

3rd Person POV

"Take aim, fire!"

A burst of bullets fired down range

"Away!"

An M2 fired a round at a decommissioned truck and a Panzer 1 beside it laid down streams of bullets with its two MG-13s tearing apart another decommissioned truck.

Currently the base was giving a military demonstration to King Darius, the Persian soldiers, and the people of Persia to watch. The crowds stood shocked and amazed at the front row seat of the destructive power of the American military, among the line of soldiers was William and his friends.

"Next up, the Stuka and Vindicator will perform a dive" Admiral Halsey said aloud above their heads the two planes circled around

The Stuka was first and upon diving the plane released its terrifying screech and released its 500-pound bomb and pulled up still screeching. The bomb whistled towards the ground and slammed into the crowd unleashing its explosive power, the people gasped in awe at the explosion.

Next up the Vindicator had its turned and dove towards the ground, however this plane didn't screech instead its engine whirred louder and louder as it dived. The pulled released the powerful 1,000-pound bomb and pulled back hard against the stick, the bomb too whistled towards the ground and slammed in the same spot as the Stukas and exploded the blast force blowing sand everywhere.

"Now for the finale, our battleship USS Pennsylvania will fire her mighty guns" Halsey announced, and the crowd was now excited for power of the guns that Halsey spoke of, out in the ocean close to where the demonstration was being held the battleship Pennsylvania rotated its 45 Caliber guns to its starboard side and for seconds there was silence then one ear ringing boom as the ship fired its guns, then another boom and then the last boom. The scene scared the living daylights out of the people and soldiers, King Darius was taken aback by the immense power of the guns and smiled to himself when he realized it's a good thing Persia was not an enemy of the United States.

"Soldiers dump your weapons!" Halsey ordered with a smirk, the soldiers looked at each other and smiled.

Simultaneously 100 fingers pulled the trigger and fired down range, the M2 and Panzer 1 gunners laid down on the trigger while the M2 light tank fired round after round down range. After everyone's magazines were empty, they cheered at the hail of bullets they sent down range, now with the demonstration over the soldiers were free to roam the city or go back to base. William along with his friends including Lakota would roam the city for a bit then return to base.

As the sun began to set the city was bustling with people roaming the streets, selling their products in the markets, soldiers patrolled the streets and skies along with dragons, and the city was lit by the numerous torches and the mighty pyramids casted shadows over the city while the sun set.

William the guys walked through the streets with their weapons on their shoulders and smiles on, as they walked past stands with food, they handed the Americans free food and since the Americans had nothing in their systems, they took the food and thanked the people. "I must say Egypt is... beautiful" Lakota gesturing to the city before them, "Amen to that Lakota" Jay said placing a hand on Lakota's shoulder. "So, you guys think war is coming or what?" Klaus asked admiring the pyramids, "Maybe but I don't the president wants us getting involved" Aseir answered Klaus's question.

Then from one of the many tall watch towers within the city, the guard on the tower banged on a bell with a hammer sending a loud ringing across the city causing the rest of the towers to begin ringing their bells. The people on the ground were confused and panicked by the sudden loud ringing then to add on to it Cairo Naval Bases air raid siren began blaring. William and the guys started freaking out and pulled their weapons off their shoulders and ready them, by instinct they started sprinting back to the base pushing through people who stood in their way.
