The sounds of cicadas were singing as you passed through the tiny village. The agents you had taken down were buried already and everyone was heading up, making their way quietly to the city.
It was still quiet with no other agents around. Itto stayed by your side keeping his eyes on you as you walked ahead of him.
Moments later two agents appeared and Miko took them out with using her catalyst, lightening striking them down. Other than that, you proceed with a frown as you watched what happened.
Your hand was on the hilt of your sword, a tight grip as you kept an eye out for any others.
By the time you make it up to the city and where the teashop was at, that was when you heard it. Miko gasped and you turned around, "she's in pain..."
Mother.
Scaramouche looked at you and your brows furrowed upwards, "where is she? Is she still inside the Tenshukaku?" He was near Miko as he bends a bit to look at her.
Miko slowly nods and gets up slowly as she rubs away at the pain in her head.
Everyone was walking quicker trying to get there in time, hoping nothing was going out of control but of course, something had to always happen.
When you reached the foot of the palace just after making quick steps over the bridge, there was a laughter at the top of the steps.
"Is this everyone? Geez, I would've thought you'd bring more men, Scaramouche," Dottore clicks his tongue, putting his hands on his hips while looking down at all of you with a wide grin.
"Ha! Just so you can slaughter them in glee? No thanks, now get outta my way." Scaramouche spits as he swings out his weapon, twirling it between his fingers. (imagine him with a scythe...)
Dottore's grin dissipated quickly as his red eyes glared maliciously at your brother, quickly bringing out his weapon. (a catalyst?)
Scaramouche then faces you, "go find mother with Itto, we'll stay behind..." you and Itto nod and then looked at Miko and Thoma, who smiles quick and you both run pass Dottore.

"You think they will be okay? Dottore can be... a lot, from what I've heard from Scaramouche some time ago."
Right now you made it all the way to the top and opened the big doors to the Tenshukaku. The doors closed loudly behind you and the both of you got startled—walking further inside the quiet and dim place.
"I'm sure they'll be fine! Besides, we did train a lot since we had that big fight." Itto tries assuring you.
"You're right, I'm just worried—
A big purple mist portal inside a torii gate was in the center of the palace, and the both of you stopped. Itto held out his arm in front of you and gotten into a stance, hand behind him to reach up to his claymore.
"Could this be where Miko sensed your mothers presence in?" He turns to you after looking away from the portal.
You shrug, "maybe... you ready then?"
His toothy grin appears and he straightens himself out, fully grabbing his claymore down to his side, "whatd'ya think? Let's roll sweetheart!" He reaches out for your hand and the both of you looked up at each other.
You smiled at him and he reciprocates it back, giving your hand a squeeze, continuing his talk "whatever happens, I'm right there with you," then you're both passing through the portal.
Soon as you stepped through, a loud strike of thunder was sent down immediately and almost hitting the two of you.
When you looked ahead and saw two versions of your mother, you could only guess that one of them was the shogun.
