Unexpected | All of Us Are Dead (Cheong-san)

Chapter Three: Fear of the Unknown

There was no time for Chin-sun to fully grasp what is happening before the doors gave away. The students fall over on top of each other, a few getting toppled as others rush inside and away from whatever is chasing them. She has never seen so many people afraid, pure terror all over their faces. Each of them are so frightened, she finds herself also fearing what she has yet to see.

Just then a girl tries to run in only to be yanked back by another student covered in blood, dismembered and insane. The young girl screams as the male bites into her and tears the skin from her neck. She falls to the ground dead as the...monster continues eating her.

A gasp falls from Chin-sun's lips. Amongst the screaming, her eyes widen and her heart stops. She has no time to move, or really no thought to, before she is shoved aside. Nothing in her seems to be working, her mind nor her body and so she loses her balance and falls onto another student. Both clutch to the other as they realize they are alive, but watch as the monster pauses eating the girl to look at its new meal. He stands, baring his teeth that have flesh stuck between them and blood staining his face and clothes. He waits not a second longer before running towards them.

The male student she had fallen onto of quickly pushes her in front of him with a scream, standing and running away. Even though she has never met him before this moment, she feels betrayed and hurt. He attempted to kill her just so he could get away.

A scream builds and rips its way from her throat, putting her hands out to hold the monster away as it knocks her onto her back. She turns her face away, using all the strength she has to keep it back from biting her the same way it bit the other girl. Panic runs through her faster than he heart can pump blood.

Not only are these monsters acting so much like the ones in the movies, but now she is in a situation she does not know how to get out of. In movies and show, the main character always lives and truly never has to worry because they always will find a way but this is not a movie and she is not a main character (hehe sorry). There is no telling if this is the moment she lives or if she dies.

Just as fast as it happened, the monster is kicked off of her. Before she can react and thank her rescuer, she is pulled to her feet by her wrist. The grip is so tight it hurts, but she is not about to complain when her life was just saved. As much knowledge as she holds and how good she is with answering questions, she cannot process what is happening. It all just seems so...fake, unreal, and much like she is having a nightmare.

The monster quickly recovers, forgetting that she was even his target and runs off to attack another student nearby. Unfortunately, they are not as lucky as her and the monster bites their shoulder.

The cafeteria fills with screams, cries as blood coats the floor. Her breathing quickens as she begins to have her first panic attack, unable to control her body as the person yanks her to follow. They lead her away and then force her under a table with a few others.

"Look at me, Chin-sun." It is only then that she is able to tell that Cheong-san is the one who saved her. He grabs her face in his hands, pulling her gaze from a student being ripped open right in front of her, and forces her to stare into his eyes.

With one glance, he is able to tell that she is not her usual self; who would be? None of them are, but for some reason he is. If anything he is better; he is able to think clearly, rationally, and control his emotions. The only thing on his mind is getting the people he cares about out and to somewhere safe.
