I was having the best dream; I was flying through a sea of stars, without a care in the world. Slowly, however, ghostly shapes began to materialise on either side of me. It was those things! The ones who brought me here! But instead of feeling fear I felt calm, a third shadow appeared in the front,  the biggest  of the three,  reached out for me. And I reached for it. It was the one who put this damned bracelet on me. Our hands were meer inches apart, so close, if I could just stretch a little more.

"Beautiful" a deep voice came from the masked face, wait... it fucking talked!?

Everything faded to black, and the deep baritone voice changed. It became higher, and sassier?

Opening my eyes I saw Tanya staring down at me, shaking me by the shoulders, practically  shouting my name.

"Jeez what kinda weird ass dream you havin?" She released my shoulders letting me fall back onto the ground.

"None of your bees wax," I groaned wiping the sleep from my eyes," why?"

"You were talkin' and shit." Looking down at me, she moved a couple paces away.

The gun in her hand shined in the moonlight, such an off putting weapon. Guns were loud, heavy, and left messes almost everywhere they went. A shiver went down my spine at the thought of firing one of them; whether it was from excitement or fear was yet to be decided.

"How long does a shift last?" Getting up from my 'bed' felt like an uphill battle, knots and aches everywhere.

'Fucking great, nothing like a good amount of pain to wake you up.'

"Don't worry about it, I'm not going to bed anytime soon." Tanya stood a good arms length away, eyeing me up and down.

"Well I'm not opposed to the company," the air was still warm as ever, I almost wanted to take off my top layer if it weren't for the company, and the flashing bracelet on my right wrist. "But why do you want to stay up?"

"Simple, I want to get to know you." A simple enough reason.

"Why me?"

"I want to know everyone, that's how you survive in every possible situation." She punctuated the sentence with a fancy twirl of her gun.

"Makes sense." To know everyone in an area is to know the area, who to befriend, who to fight. Then gaining power becomes easy.

"That and keeping your mouth shut while others sleep." Barry groaned, rolling onto his back from his spot among a pile of leaves.

"Sorry Barry." Rubbing the back of my neck.

He just huffed and rose from the ground.

"Wha, why the wake up?" Zeke slurred from inside his hood. He was curled up in a ball with the whole top half of his body stuffed into his sweater, like he was trying to escape the current reality.

"Since we're all awake now," Glaring at both me and Tanya, Barry continued," I suggest we get moving. No point in Y/N doing a shift with all of us."

"Noooo" Zeke mumbled, tossing and turning.

'Great more walking

< time skip brought to you by me ♡ >

We've been walking for hours now, the heat is tortuous, I'm covered in sweat, and Zeke keeps being a dick. He's been complaining non stop since we began walking.

'Such an ass'

"So back to what I was going to ask; who are you guys?" Tanya asked while tying the top half of her jumpsuit around her waist.
