Collecting corpses on a cold day is hard, especially when you come to bury them.

Father Nature's instructions about burying make you want to puke your guts out.

He wants you to undress the corpses then wash them before burying their bodies under fertile ground.

You know that's a correct way of burying others to avoid the separation of diseases, but it still makes you sick to drag dead bodies around.

"Need a little help over there?"

One of the chosen men to collect says with a flirty tone, as he walks over to you.

"No thank you, I got everything under control" you decline, not wishing to talk to the man.

However, he seems insistent on speaking to you.

"My name is Jason, what is yours?" He asks.

"(Y/n)" you reply with a polite tone, still dragging the corpse to the bathtub in the building.

"Allow me to help you"

Jason was about to grab the body from your hands, however, a voice stops him.

You and Jason freeze in fear upon hearing it.

"Who gave you the right to help her with her task?"

Father Nature stares at the man, his head titled slightly and his eyes narrowed.

Everyone avoids looking at Father Nature, only minding their business.

"She asked for help"

You look at Jason, amused by his cowardly behavior.

"Did you just lie to me?" Nature inquires.

You gulp as you watch plant roots slowly slither towards the feet of Jason who seem to not notice.

"N-no" Jason stutters.

"Another lie I see"

The roots clutch into Jason's body, before moving him upwards, and start slamming his body against the floors and walls.

You place a hand on your mouth in terror, not knowing what to do in such a terrifying situation.

It is not like you can do anything, to begin with.

After a few minutes of slamming the body around, Father Nature finally removes the roots from the now dead body.

Nature then turns his gaze back to you with a smirk on his face.

"You seem tired, go get some rest, my dear"

☮︎☮︎☮︎

You lay on your bed, with an emotionless expression on your face.

You feel numb from seeing a man just get murdered brutally in front of you.

Will this be also your fate if you disobey the orders of Father Nature?

Being too deep in your thoughts, you don't notice the door open slowly.

A small familiar cat climbs into your bed with a small elephant plushie in its mouth.

You look at the kitty with wide eyes.

"Teddy?"

The cat transforms into a child, a huge smile on his face, as he pushes his toy into your face.

"Mama, I came to sleep beside you tonight"

You smile brightly, before pulling him into your embrace, hugging him tightly.

"Won't your Papa be angry" Teddy shook his head.

"Papa is the one who told me to sleep beside you tonight"
