A/N: this is very long and i wrote it because my friend recently watched the movie and is in complete denial and wants connor to be alive

" dude I though you were going to tell them the truth," jared sighed

"I tried, but I started talking and they didn't want me to stop," evan fidgeted with his cast "a-and now they want me to give them these letters that we totally didn't write,"

" so now you need me to make these fake emails,"

"p-please,"

"fine,"

Evan went along with this lie of being friends with connor when the only interactions with him was him getting shoved in the hall and the library and his story was starting to have cracked and he was cracking under the pressure he was popular all of the sudden dinners with murphys was a regular occurring thing. Evan didn't know what he was going to do about his mum, she thinks hes going over to jareds and of course the connor project he was the co-president of it and whathe sisnt know was connor was alive in a hospital in a coma - set to wake up soon

A few months ago

Connor was done with living zoe hated him his parents hated him and he was just humiliated by some kid named Evan Hansen he was trying to be nice and signed his cast for gods sake, so he snuck out of his room and rushed into his parents room and stole his mothers sleeping pills he shoved them into his pocket he grabbed his keys to his old nissian bluebird u3 and he slammed opened the front door

"connor where are you going?" Cynthia asked

"out,"he responded

He slammed the front door and he got into his car and turned his key into the car and redeemer by Palaye Royale he quickly drove off speeding tears where blurring his eyes he couldn't see the road he slipped into the wrong lane and wiped his eyes as a truck honked its horn he swore and swirved back into his lane slamming to a tree he groaned and rubbed his head, he slipped out of the car and glanced at the park signs and stumbled into a open field he sat down at a tree he poured a hand full of the pills into his hand

"fuck the world," he grumbled and swallowed the pills he forgot about the note, the letter he took from evan.

"hey kid, are you okay," a strange man called "I saw you crash,"

"I'm fine, leave me alone," connor mumbled

The man rushed up to the boy to check him out and noticed the pills scattered across the ground

"oh god kid, my names dean what did you take, why are you,"

"sleeping pills, you don't care about me,"

"kid I've been in your place,"

Connor shrugged his eye were getting glassy, he was sedated and calm.

"yes, hi, im at Ellison State Park theres a kid here and hes just taken pills I don't know how many or what he took,"

Connor was completely out of it by the time the paramedics arrive.

He was immediately taken to the hospital where his stomache was pumped and they were sure he was going to live the call to his family when they arrived Cynthia fell into larrys arms sobbing confusen on why her son would do this larry rubbed her back and kissed his head

"its okay, he's okay,"

Zoe was sniffling trying not to cry.

"they found this letter on him, we think it's his suicide note,"
