Connor was laying on his bed dead asleep headphones in playing his playlist he didn't expect for his younger sister to jump on him and wake him which she did
Connor jumped and ripped out his earphone
" what the fuck Zoe," his voice was laced with sleep
" I'm hungry, drive me to MacDonald's,"
Connor groaned and rested his arm over his eyes and thought about it
" fine, let's go," Connor sat up his blanket falling off his chest
" ew get a shirt on fuck head,"
He groaned and got out of bed pulling on a hoodie off the floor
" lets go,"
They slowly sneaked out Connor grabbing his keys and Zoe got out of the house and waited at the black Mazda
Connor unlocked it and got in he put his keys in the ignition and smirked at his sister and turned it on, Connor pulled out of the driveway and down the street Zoe connected her phone to the Bluetooth and played songs
Connor yawned and softly sang along to the ABBA song
The MacDonald's was across town they arrived in 30 minutes they grabbed some nuggets and drinks and ate them in the car
There drive back took a turn for the worse.
They were singing along to some genertic pop song.
When a semi truck swerved into there lane, Connor tried to get put of the way but he was to late. The small car crumpled like a can of coke, Connor wrapped his arm around zoes torso, a pole went through the bottom of the car going just above connors knee and when the air bags deployed connirs arm was snapped bone tearing through his skin his should dislocating aswell
His head slammed against the steering wheel he passed out

Zoe woke up before Connor she could hear the sirens she looked down and saw connors arm broken and then looked over to him his head resting on the steering wheel a pole pushing against his neck she could hear his breathing as if he was being strangled
"Connor," she coughed shaking his should gasping when she felt it move out of place.

She screamed " CONNOR, DONT YOU DARE BE DEAD,"
"PLEASE,"
Connor let out a groan his eyes opened he turned and gasped when he saw his arm but then his eyes glued onto his little sister who was having a panic attack
"Zoe look at me, where going to be fine, okay, help is on there way, can you hear it, they save us," Connor breathed
Zoe smiled weakly
" Connor your comforting me when you have a bone sticking out of your arm and you leg is impaled,"
" cant feel it, no pain," he chuckled
Connor grunted eventually the shock wore off him and he started to chuckle
" Connor are you okay,"
" this hurts," he laughed "oh fuck this really hurts?" He gasped "OH FUCK," she shouted
" oh God Connor," Zoe panicked and tool off her belt slamming herself against the dor it eventually giving and opening
She got out " ill be back you need help,"
Connor nodded not telling her that he was feeling lightheaded and dizzy
Zoe waves her hands and two paramedics walked up to her
" let get you to a hospital," one of them said
" no, I'm fine, my brother he's really badly hurt help him please," Zoe begged
One of the paramedics looked into the car and gasped
" get fire fighter got a severely injured boy passed out,"

"Oi strand, judd need you here,"
To firfighters ran over and looked at the boy
" need the saws and the jaw,"
The paramedic ran to the otherwise where the smashed in window was and put a neck brace on him
" his shoulder dislocated,"
" go sit down, we will save your brother,"
Zoe nodded and was led away from the wrecked Mazda
The slowly cut Connor out of the car he slowly came back
" wha-" Connor let out a grunt
" hey kid, i need you to try to stay awake,"
Connor lent his head rest against the head rest and

"This is going to be loud and then followed bu another loud sound and some sparks,"

The fire-fighters managed to open to beaten up door and the started saw the pole under his knee
"How are you feel right now," the paramedics asked
" light headed, dizzy" Connor grunted

The saw cut through the pol like a hot knife on butter
They got Connor onto a gurny and ran along to the ambulance

" i don't know who that is?" The paramedic look.up to the others
Zoe jumped into the back suddenly
" evan hansen is connors best and only friend that he so dearly loves, his mum works at the hospital, I'll ask her if evan is hanging with her,"
They sped to the closest hospital Connor straped down his knee bent with a pole poking through it
"Hey pandemic people his arms turning blue," Zoe said fear lacing her voice

the ambulance pulled over and one of the paramedics grabbed onto connors shoulder ." On three,"

They pulled back onto the road continuing the trip, zoe couldn't tear her eyes away from the white bone poking out of his arm

" his bone is that going to be fine," Zoe asked pondering
" yes, we just need to get him tk the hospital, we don't have the equipment to do this,"
Zoe nodded interested
Connor was immediately rushed into hospital into surgery
Zoe had her head glued together and given a icepack she went into the waiting room and was immediately squished into a hug by her parents
" God we were so scared," Cynthia said pulling back and squishing her face
" what was Connor thinking dragging you along on his," Larry looked down at his watch " 4am activity's,"
" he didn't ask me, I asked him to drive me to MacDonald's and we crashed,"
Larry sighed and looked at Zoe
" you don't have to cover for him,"
" I'm not though, it was genuinely my idea," she argued

a nurse cleared her throat
" connors out of surgery my son is already with him, he would like to see you too,"
They silently walked into his room
Connor had a iv and a oxygen tube in his nose
His arm was wrapped in a cast and his knee was bent under the sheets evan was quietly talking to him
" oh God Connor," Zoe shouted
" shh," evan said " he has a bad concussion nothing too loud,"
Zoe nodded and sat down on the other side of the bed
" I'm sorry I made you drive me to MacDonald's,"
"Its fine, I got us into a crash,"
Zoe frowned
" hey," she whispered
"Hi," Connor voice was destroyed
The built up of tears broke for Zoe "I'm sorry Connor, I shouldn't have-"
" its okay, im okay, see, I'm alive,"

Zoe looked to evan and noticed his hand on connors she tore her eyes away to watch her mum stand in shock
" thank heavens Connor, what happened?" She asked
Connor took a shaky breath " we where just driving home, a.truck I think ran a red light at the intersection and I swerved so Zoe would get hurt, but i-"
Evan ran his fingers through connirs hair and gently shush him
" its okay Connor, you know it is, your not in that car anymore,"
Zoe finally noticed that connors fingers wouldn't stop shaking
" hey con, your hand?"
" I damaged muscles in my hand, nurse hansen said physical therapy will help it,"
They sat there in silence Larry scoffed and walked off Cynthia following,
" dont worry about them, they think it was your idea,"
Connor nodded
Evan and sat in silence as Connor fell back into sleep
" so, how long have you been dating my brother?"
"Wha- huh?"
" you were holding his hand, come on, I don't care,"
" we've been dating for 2 months, but don't tell anyone, please,"

Evan smiled and looked at connor
" he just needs somone to not leave him when things get hard,"
" i know. I'll let you two be gay, I've gotta go home,"

Zoe got up and left the room, evan rested his head on connors bed
" you deserve love," evan whispered.

Connor was in hospital for a week and went home he was given a crutch to walk with and pain medication, he was taken to his room and he called evan
" hey sweetheart,"
"Hey, how are you?"
" tired, home, I miss you can you cove over,"
There was a shout
" mum said yeah l, she said I could stay over aswell,"
Connor smiled " guessing telling her went well,"
" yeah, I'll be over soon,"
" okay, I'll see you then,"
Connor pushed himself and stood up with out his crutch and walked around picking up clothes and throwing them in the laundry basket
" oh hi evan, connors just upstairs, hopefully laying down,"
Connor quickly made his way to his bed and laid down
He heard the door open
" hey, its good to see you," Evan smiled
Connor smiled and moved over on the bed letting evan a space which he took and grabbed the remote, he put on netflix and put on Brooklyn nine nine, thye went down for dinner a few hours later and then went back to cuddling, Connor fell asleep on Evans chest and evan fell asleep soon after.

They woke up the next morning to a note sitting on the side table which read ' you don't have to be scared about coming put boys i accept you both- mum'
Evan smiled and kissed the top of connors head
" see were fine dear, we don't need to worry,"
Connor smiled and lent his head on Evans chest,
" more hugs,"
Connor nodded listening to Evans heart beat
