━━━━━━━━━━ 🏹 T E U T A 🏹 ━━━━━━━━━━
Their crew fought reckless, Teuta had never seen them more eager to defeat somebody than this group of undead. The pirates fought with all they got, cut off arms, legs, heads to disarm the Buzzard's army while Wylan and Inej threw explosives their way.
Nikolai pulled Teuta behind a large treasure chest when he saw Wylan throwing it her way to get a woman behind her that was trying to stab her in the back. "We can't keep them away for too long."
"Admiral, Captain, there's only a few of us left!" Butch joined them in their hideout and the bomb went off. It ripped another Undead apart but there were just too many. "We're losing, we need to do something."
"We need to close the door." Teuta said out of breath. "Somebody needs to reach it."
"It's too far away to run," Nikolai replied after checking the distance. "And Cassian is guarding the door. It would be suicide to go straight for it, we need a plan."
"We don't have the time, Nikolai." Teuta said and swallowed hard. "If I-"
"No!" He interrupted her right away. "Don't even consider it!"
"Nikolai-"
"NO! I would rather join the Buzzard than watch how you get murdered by Cassian. Let me-"
"No!" She grabbed his arm and pulled him back down when he wanted to get up. "You're not going, either. I am not going to watch you die a second time and this time for certain. Forget about it!"
"Then, what do we do?"
"How about we get them from both sides?"
Butch pulled a knife out of his belt. "No, we need to throw them off with something they won't see coming, stab them and close the door."
"We could call the others over to us, acting like we want to make peace." Teuta suggested.
"Or fire everything Wylan still has with him and pray that it is enough gunpowder to destroy them." Nikolai offered another idea.
But the old man just smiled at them with calmness. "It was an honour to sail with you two. Tell your children about old Butch and what adventures he went on with his dearest pirate mates."
"Butch, what are you doing?" Teuta asked alarmed.
"Sometimes, the fiddler on the deck sinks with the ship." Butch gave them a confident nod. "May the Saints watch over you both."
Before Teuta could say another word or prevent him from doing it, Butch got up and stepped into Cassian's sight, unarmed. His knife was still laying at the place he had crutched next to Teuta.
Butch held his hands up in the air. "I'm don't have any weapons on me," he shouted over to Cassian. "Don't kill an unarmed old man. All I want to do is talk, maybe we can resolve this matter with words."
