Pup-napped (PAW Patrol Fanfic)

Chapter 17

Ryder and Chase were heading to the house where all pup-napped dogs are kept. They had managed to escape the pup-nappers and cops without starting a whole pursuit. As Ryder drove the car, Chase looks at him and notices that he looks very tired though he is trying hide his exhaustion.
"Ryder, did you sleep?" Chase asks. "Kinda" Ryder says. "What do you mean 'kinda'?" Chase asks. "Not really" says Ryder. "To be honest, I didn't sleep at all. I had a feeling the pup-nappers were coming."
"So when was the last time you slept?" Chase asks.

"Well, I woke up at around 3:00am to take a plane to Paris and from there, I haven't slept" Ryder says. "Ryder, you need to stop doing things like that!" Chase says. "Like what?" Ryder questions.
"Stop putting me over your health and the things you need to do to keep yourself in good shape" Chase says.
"Chase, I will put you over anything. Even my own life" Ryder says. "Ryder, you're gonna end up killing yourself!" Chase says.
"Chase, calm down. I didn't have much time to save you. My time was limited. A ship was coming in 48 hours and I had no idea where you were in Paris. So I had no time to let my body rest or eat. And then my time was just eaten up when I was on the bridge in the middle of a pursuit and the ship suddenly appears out of nowhere. That's when I was left with only one hour to save you" Ryder explains. "You matter to me more than anything in this world. Literally anything."

"Ryder" Chase says. "Yes Chase" Ryder says. "I love you" the pup says. "I love you more than you love me" Ryder says. "No, I love you more than you love me" says Chase. They continue arguing about who loves each other more until they arrive upon the creepy old house.

"This house looks like a haunted house" Chase says, as they get out of the car. "It is a haunted house. Don't you see how spooky this thing looks?" Ryder says. Ryder and Chase walk toward the house and Chase starts whimpering as he hesitates to go in.
"You okay, Chase?" Ryder asks.
"I don't know if I want to go in" Chase whimpers. "Come on Chase. Where's my brave police pup?" Ryder asks.
Chase immediately stands up straight and puts on a bold face. "Let's go in" he says.
"That's my boy" Ryder says and pats Chase on the head.

The two go in the house and Ryder turns on the dim lights. "So what do you need here?" Chase questions. "I need to take pictures of the underfloor for proof for when we go to the police department. I'm gonna get those pup-nappers in prison" Ryder says.
"That's a good plan" Chase says.
Ryder and Chase walk down the gloomy stairway that leads to the spooky underfloor.
"I can't believe this is where I was" Chase says.
Ryder and Chase walk down a long gloomy corridor and Ryder opens a door to a room.

They walk inside the room to see a dead dog that is chained up. Chase starts breathing heavily in horror. Seeing the wounds all over the dog, it's fur all matted and bloody, it's body shrunken, and it's jaw and eyes open, this all made Chase just want to run.
Ryder walks in the room slowly, toward the dead dog.
Though it's not his pup, his heart starts breaking and his eyes start tearing up. He kneels down and takes out his pup-pad. "This poor pup" Ryder says.
He takes a picture of the dead dog and then walks away.

He takes a few pictures of the room and the chains that are hanging from the ceiling. "Let's get out of here" Ryder says. Ryder and Chase go back upstairs. Ryder takes pictures of the different weapons and bad things the pup-nappers had.

"Let's go Chase. I have the proof I need and your also one of my major proofs" Ryder says. They leave the house and go back to the car.
Ryder starts the engine and they drive off to the police station.

Meanwhile, Boss James, Luke, Blake and Robert had killed the cops and were now leaving the hotel building. "Those cops caused us to lose the pup and the boy" Boss James says. "Boss, I think we should just give up. We're never gonna be able to catch that boy and pup. It's like impossible" Blake says.
Boss James just sighed.
"Let's go back to the house" he says.

Marshall and Everest had left the woods and headed to Jake's Mountain. Marshall bid farewell with Everest and thanked her for lifting his spirit and making him see the truth about himself.
From there, he continued back to the Lookout. Tired and hungry, Marshall makes it back to the Lookout. He gets himself some kibble to eat and then goes to sleep in his pup-house.

Ryder and Chase pull over infront of the police department. They get out of the car and head toward the building. The guards stop them immediately. "What do you want here?" one guard asks. "I have to speak with your captain. It's very important" Ryder says.
The guards let Ryder and Chase in. The two find the captain's office and walk in. "There you are! You've been causing chaos in Paris!" the captain yells.
"Calm down sir" Ryder says. "I have something very important to tell you."

"What is it?" the captain asks. Ryder sits down on the spare chair near the desk and starts speaking. "This is Chase, my police dog" Ryder says. "Police dog? What do you mean?" the captain asks in confusion. "I'm a rescuer in Adventure Bay and leader of a rescue team called the PAW Patrol" Ryder begins. "About a week ago, my police pup went out to control traffic on Main Street in Adventure Bay. He never came back and I went out to search for him. I found evidence that he was pup-napped and I also found evidence that the pup-nappers were French and they were heading to Paris."

"Today I landed here early and for the whole entire day, I've been finding evidence of who the pup-nappers are and I've been pursuing them.
Finally after a lot of detective work, I found them and saved my police pup.
I found the pup-nappers' house and look what I found in there."

Ryder takes out his pup-pad and brings up the photos he took. He starts showing the captain and the captain gasps in shock at the pictures. "Those pup-nappers also have a secret ship that comes to Paris in the night to pick up dogs for coat making" Ryder says. "I saw the ship with my own eyes. There were chains and knives on the ship. And my pup here is an example of what those pup-nappers to do dogs."
"Where are these pup-nappers?" the captain asks.
"They're at a hotel right now and they were killing some cops" Ryder says.

"Take the lead Ryder" the captain says. Ryder gets up from the seat. He, Chase and the captain leave the office. The captain assembles the cops and explains everything that Ryder explained to him. "Now we're going on a big pursuit to get these pup-nappers and arrest them" the captain says. "And Ryder will be taking the lead on this pursuit."

Ryder leads all of the cops out of the department and everyone takes a police car or helicopter. Ryder and Chase also get in one police car.
"Let's go!" Ryder says.
"We're gonna get these pup-nappers in prison."
