Cheryl has a nightmare

-Mommy, what happened? And mama? .- Beatrice asked, looking at her mother with a worried face. Cheryl was without energy, an enormous sadness flooded her and she felt a great weight on her chest

-Mommy, where is mama? .- asked Maddie looking into her eyes

Cheryl felt her eyes flood with tears.- She's gone.- She said and began to cry loudly, nothing could comfort her anymore, not even the hug of her kids, nothing could bring her back to the love of her life.

Cheryl woke up agitated, she looked to her right side and Toni was fast asleep holding her arm around her waist, the redhead took a deep breath. That dream had been so real that she thought it was true, but it was all a nightmare.

She got out of bed, washed up and went downstairs to make breakfast, as it was very early, earlier than she is used to getting up on weekends Cheryl started cooking her iconic cherry buns as they are her wife's favorite and wanted to surprise her.

She was so in her mind from that nightmare that she didn't see Jason and Beatrice already awake walking into the kitchen

-Good morning.- Beatrice said making Cheryl jump slightly in fright

-God, Beatrice.- Cheryl said, putting a hand to her chest, she hadn't heard them come in and the last thing she needed was to get more scares

"I haven't said it so loud." Beatrice said frowning, she didn't understand what was happening to her mother

-It's not your fault, I thought I was alone.- Cheryl said, Beatrice looked at her brother and the two shared a strange look, it was strange that her mother hadn't heard them, her mother was always attentive to everything. The redhead took the cherry buns out of the oven and started cooking breakfast for her kids

"Don't you eat breakfast with us?" Jason asked when his mother finished putting the last plate of breakfast on the table.

-No, I go back to bed with mama.- Cheryl said looking into his eyes, the redhead urgently needed to be with her wife even though Toni was asleep, she didn't care, she just wanted to be in her arms.- Bon appétit.- she said with a knowing smile, she turned around and headed to her room

Cheryl lay down on the bed and immediately hugged Toni, drawing her towards her, the brunette murmured something unintelligible but without moving, letting Cheryl place her arm under her head, getting as close as she could to her and intertwining her legs together, the redhead wanted to feel her close.

Cheryl couldn't sleep, she simply stayed hugging Toni without making any noise, listening to Toni's calm breathing, feeling her warmth, her smell... everything that Cheryl adores and everything that nightmare had taken away from her, although it had only been during sleep

After a couple of long hours, Toni began to move a little more, a sign that she was beginning to wake up. While Cheryl looked at her with a smile on her lips, Toni turned from her wife's arms to face her.

-Good morning.- Toni murmured with a smile and her sleep-scratched voice.

-Good morning, my love.- Cheryl said smiling and leaning a little more because they were already too close to put their lips together in a tender kiss.

"Mm… what time is it?" Toni asked, opening her eyes to look at those of the redhead.

"Ten o'clock in the morning," Cheryl said, stroking her hair.

Toni raised her eyebrows as a surprise. -Have you let me sleep until 10?.- she ask with a slight smile since she likes to sleep more and more on weekends but her wife is the opposite of her and always wakes her up earlier and her young children. Toni likes that her wife let her sleep late, That's why Toni found it strange that she let her sleep so much.
