You finally get home from the store, it's pitch black outside. Rain falls and thunder starts to rumble as you try and get the right key to unlock the house.
After continuous fiddling, you finally get it and unlock the house.
You open the door and head inside, shutting the door behind you and take your jacket off.
You look over and see Vince wrapped up in the blanket, shaking and whimpering.
He must've been scared by the thunder.
You sit next to him on the couch, putting your hand on his.
"Huh-" he looked over and his fear suddenly turned into happiness as he saw you.
You looked over at him, "Vince, are..you okay?" you asked.
"Th-thun...der..." he whimpered.
"It's okay, Vince. It's just a sound. It can't hurt you." You reassured him.
You cooked dinner, Vince was pretty much right there with you the entire time.
"Vince, are you gonna eat anything...?" You asked. He shook his head. "..N-not..hungry.." he said, stuttering.
"Vince--" You sighed, there's no point. He's a vampire. Vampires probably just want blood.
(Later)
"Hey Vince? I'm going to bed early tonight, okay?" you said.
"B-but..." he whimpered. "Fine, I'll stay up for a bit longer." you said. Vince smiled. You sat on the couch with Vince, who was wrapped up in blanket.
The thunder got closer and louder.
Vince whimpered, sliding closer to you.
You wrapped your arm around him, holding him close.
"Vince, do you think you'd feel safer if were in bed instead of the couch?" I asked.
"Mhm.." he nodded.
He followed you to the bedroom, holding your hand.
You both get in bed, and were up in the blanket. You turn on the TV and the last thing you were watching plays:
"Danger Days: The Fabulous Killjoys"
You and Vince watch DD:TFK for a while, Vince falls asleep on your chest. You turned off the TV and eventually fall asleep.
Vince wakes up at 3 AM from a nightmare. You hear him whimpering and wake up. Tears fall down his cheeks.
You wrap your arms around him,
"Shh, shh... It's okay. It's gonna be okay, Vince." you said softly, running your hands through his hair.
