And so, the h/c haired girl made her way to the village. Y/n couldn't believe Sylvian allowed her to do so after his theatrics days ago. She had a strong belief that she wouldn't have been able to leave the house ever again after his threats, but it seemed that he'd had a change of heart, perhaps he was growing as a person and realised his beliefs weren't the healthiest.

She was currently walking down the old country lane. Vast green pastures dotted with horses and cows on each side, and the calming sensation of satisfaction filled her heart as the sun caressed her skin. It felt nice being outside again, breathing in the fresh air and not constricted within the same gloomy walls of the manor.

Soon she approached a familiar creature, it's neck craned over the wooden country fence, it looked at her longingly, as if it wanted to communicate a message that could never be communicated due its language not being understood by humans. Extending her hand to caress its muzzle, the horse leaned in to her touch.

The beast neighed in pleasure, this mindless action triggered a memory from the past- his name. Ronnie, was his name, that's what the farm boy told her when she first arrived in Esterdell. Funny how he told her the horse's name but never mentioned his own, she could only imagine what he was named. He looked like a Jack, a simple name for a simple man or perhaps a Kenny...something along those lines. There no point in pondering however, for now his name remained a mystery much like her foggy memories...a sudden thought popped into y/n's mind,

Now is the perfect time to find some clues on the ghost girl's friends whereabouts, no one is here to stop me.

The h/c haired girl felt a burst of excitement within her chest until it was crushed by a more pessimistic thought,

Where do I even start?

She took a moment to think of a plan. If her memory serves her correctly, she remembered that the last person she saw was in fact the farm boy who gave her a drink before she blacked out- she would need to find him, he was the key to unlock the rest of this bizarre story that she was so desperate to uncover.

The girl shifted her focus back to the horse. His eyes dark and full of emotion.

"Hey, Ronnie, do you have any idea as to where your owner is?"

"Neigh!" He shook his head vivaciously then turned his head to point to the direction of the village. "Neigh-neigh!"

"In the village you say? Alright, thanks Ron, I'll see ya later."

"Neigh!"

After waving the horse goodbye, she continued to make her was down the country lane then reality hit her right in the face,

Did I just communicate with a horse? My my what is wrong with me.

She couldn't help but laugh at the utter lunacy of the interaction that took place.

Y/n L/n, the horse whisperer.

Arriving at the village, she noticed that the streets were quieter than usual. The air felt tense and suffocating and the creepy silence disturbed her. She realised that find the farm boy would be harder to find than expected, in the mean time she walked to the pharmacy to collect some medicine for Sylvian.
