After the Guanyin temple incident Lan Xichen went into seclusion and that made the whole cultivation shock and whisper started and with that the rumors also started. Its been a whole year and still the other was in seclusion , in this whole year changes happen as the cultivation world accept that the Lan Sect Leader , Lanxichen will never come out of seclusion just like his father,as the other people thinking . Some says that he had some feelings attached to Jinguanyao which is more than being brother because of which he is in seclusion

After that day , not only the Lan sect leader change but also the Jiang sect leader ,Jiang Cheng also change but in opposite way he started to train his disciples more and more furiously as if their will be a war in the near future he started to work harder on himself finding a way to ease the pain on the new revelation. After the death of Jin Guanyao many cultivators have their eyes on the Jin sect not only from the other cultivators who doesn't belong from Jin sect but also the elders of Jin sect have their eyes for the leader position.

It became Jiang Cheng's top priority to save the position for his nephew ,Jin ling. As his father is the one who was the sect leader even if it was only for days . So it was Jin lings right to become the next sect leader.

So Jiang Cheng also have to guide him in a way so the others cannot find flaws or complain about not having a parent or being a sect leader at a young age will be problematic. But everytime he tried to make him understand it either ended up with him scolding Jinling or the their will be argument between both of them. And now this brat don't even have the time to come and have a meal with him .

He still remember that day when the other didn't want to go to Cloud Reccess and he was trying to convince him ."Jinling you have to understand and studying their will be beneficial to you only." "But I never said I want to go their and study, you already had given me other things to do and also there are thousands of rules their which we have to follow ". " I'd already study their with that many rules so will you do too and I'm not asking it to you I've already decided it and sent letter to Old master Lan Qiern and you are going their tomorrow ,so be ready and start preparing ".That thing happen one and half year ago he used to visit his nephew couple of times so that he can keep on check on his progress but after that incident he makes himself so busy that taking care of himself is getting hard, but still he keep check on jinling with the help of his right hand man Zhao and by what he get to know is that ,his nephew is going to night hunt with the lan juniors ,the airhead Weiwuxian and the ice block Lan Zhan or should he say chief cultivator
