Easton's POV~•

Rielle.

She's been asleep for...

A month.

I grimaced and laced up my boots.

And it's all that ranger's fault. I clipped my sword onto my belt.

I sighed. Today marked a month since she'd been attacked in the forest.

She still hadn't woken.

We didn't know how long she'd be out for.

My friend Gabe and Charles walked up to me. Their faces held pity for me. Which I didn't want.

"I'm sure she'll wake any day now" said Gabe.

I glared balefully at him. He'd been saying the same thing for weeks now.

"Leave me alone" I muttered. I walked away from them. Leaving the dormitories, I made my way over to the training field.

A few others were wacking away at the wool covered dummies.

I joined them, I drew my sword and slashed at the dummy.

I'd do this everyday. It helped let my anger out.

Of course she'd be attacked. He left her on her own!

I would get my payback someday.

Keith.

I scowled and gave a mighty swing at the dummy.

I heard a crack, then the top half of the dummy fell to the ground.

"There he goes again".

I whipped my head around to see two second years whispering about me.

I glared daggers at the two. They couldn't possibly understand my feelings.

I almost went over to show them a thing or two, but someone called my name.

"Easton! The Baron wishes to see you!"

I turned around and saw the Baron's assistant, Kevin.

I sheathed my sword and ran up to him, he was riding a horse, he had mine tethered to his saddle.

I didn't speak as I untied the reigns from his saddle.

He looked at me with little interest. I gave an eye roll and mounted Cliff, my own battlehorse.

The horse was eager to be on the move again, I clicked the reigns and sped to the front. I lead the way.

What could the Baron want?

I could never be sure.

The ride took around fifteen minutes. I climbed off my horse. I didn't wait for Kevin to finish dismounting. I went into the castle without him.

Could it be about Rielle? I hope she isn't worse...

Many halls later.

I came to the Barons study.

I knocked once and waited outside the door.

"Enter" I heard the Baron say. I pushed the door open and quietly walked into the room.

"Easton, please sit". The Baron regarded me with a soft voice.

I stayed silent. I knew he pittied me too, but I didn't want to be disrespectful.

The Baron sat at his big desk, a chair was pulled out for me to sit on.
