It all felt like a dream. Some strange dream where for once, everything just falls into place. When I woke up, for a moment, I was scared that it had been a dream. I woke up alone.

I sat up in bed and rubbed my eyes.

I glanced to my left, then to my right.

Mackenzie wasn't here.

"Kenzie?" I call.

I get out of bed and walk to the bathroom, when I flick on the light, it's empty.

Panic began to set in.

Did I scare her away?

Did she change her mind?

Was it actually a dream?

I move to grab my phone when I see the note on top of it.

'Went with Jade to go get something nice to wear today. I don't want to look like a joke in front of your family. I didn't want to wake you, you looked too cute. Sorry! I should be back soon. Call me when you wake up.' -Kenzie.

I sigh in relief.

It's just Jade ruining my life, again.

Which is way better than Kenzie running away from me.

So I get up and wash up and get dressed before calling her.

"Hey," she answers.

"You should have just woke me up," I complain.

She giggles.

It makes me smile.

"Where are you?" I ask.

"We are almost done, meet me at my parent's house. We can start there and go to your parent's house after."

"Okay. Hurry, I can't wait to see you."

"Sure you can. Watch."

With that, she hung up.

She's so going to get it.

I was about to walk out of the room when my phone rang, I was expecting Mackenzie again.

But...

It's Aphrodite.

I eyed the screen for a long moment before answering.

"Hello?"

"Hey." She said.

"Hey to you."

"So."

"So..." I lean against the door.

"I'm in town if you are near your parent's house."

"What are you doing here?"

"I wanted to see you."

"Aren't you dating someone?"

"Doesn't mean I can't come to see you."

"Yeah... it kinda does."

"So, you are angry at me."

I sigh.

"Well?" she demands.

"No, I'm not. I just... I wish we could stop doing this to each other."

"Doing what?"

"You know what I mean."

She's silent for a moment.

"Did you come alone?" I ask.

"Emm, yes. My parents are in town that's why."
