Marcos's POV
"𝗡𝗔𝗭! 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨 ready yet?" I yelled out to my girlfriend, who was still taking a long time to get ready, as I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a water bottle.
"Shut up and stop rushing me!" I heard her yell from the bedroom.
Today my mom invited me over to her house since she's having a get-together for my dad's birthday, and I thought this was the perfect time for Nazanin to meet Destini. When I told Naz that Destini wanted to meet her, she hesitated but eventually agreed to go. I sat on the couch and waited for Nazanin to finish getting ready. Finally, when she emerged from the hallway dressed, I stood up from the sofa.
"Finally," I said, sighing in relief.
"I don't know why you're rushing me. Probably trying to hurry and go see Destini, huh?" Nazanin mocked, rolling her eyes.

Remaining quiet because I didn't have the energy to argue with her, I walked out the door with Nazanin trailing behind me. I shut the car door, started the car, and drove away from the apartment.
"When we get there, please don't start, no shit," I tell Nazanin as I stop at a red light.
"Whatever, let's go." She rolled her eyes, waving her hand at me.
I took a deep breath and counted to twenty before continuing to drive when the light turned green. Sometimes it feels like Nazanin purposely pisses me off to get a reaction. She knows I'm trying to do whatever I can to be in Alayah's life, but she feels like just because I'm around my child, I'm going to be flirting with her mother.
After an eternity drive, we finally arrived at my parent's house, and I parked next to Destini's car.
