• Y/N POV •

My phone buzzed and I checked it.

It was my mom.

Mom: "That person you dated got arrested, did you hear?"

I looked at Monty

"Did you do something.. to my ex?"

"No. i can't hurt staff"

"They're in jail. i guess."

"better off that way. bothering you way too much."

i stopped for a moment to think.

"Monty.. what if i don't want to go?"

"what do you mean?"

"well, I mean I want to stay with you. Im your caretaker and.. it's lonely at home"

Monty cupped my face

"you can do whatever you want, doll. i ain't gonna stop you"

No one was there. not even the usual peeping animatronics.

"and... why me?"

"Why you??" he was confused.

"I just. I'm just somebody who came here and got a job and now we're practically dating .. aren't we?"

"yea, guess so. listen darling, you're more than you think y'know. Youre gorgeous, kind, and very brave at times."

"too brave maybe" I laughed remembering the time I shot him in the eyes with the faserblaster.

"Perfectly brave. you are perfect."

"I guess so. You're perfect too. it's why i like you so much"

"Listen. The dance floor is open, the last time we got there things got fucked up, how bout a second round?"

"me and you?"

he reached out his hand and I grabbed it.

"me and you" he smiled.

He led me to the arcade and music man was there. jamming to Squidwards nose. it's odd he likes that song but good on him.

"Hey music man!" Monty smiled brightly and waved at him

He smiled and waved back "Monty! what are you doing up here?"

"Just want a dance with me and my darling."

I waved at music man and he tilted his head

"OHHH so that's why you got so pissy the other day. your lover was dancing with another, how scandalous." He laughed

I laughed as well and Monty glared at the two of us.

"We weren't together then. And I-"

"and you messed up." I chimed in. "So, I took things into my hands."

"ohh I see. Monty's always been a handful, but I have several hands and it works." He grabbed a vinyl record and placed it on the player.

the lights dimmed and Monty brought me into a kinda hug kinda dance. it was a bit hard to figure out the stance.

The music started and the stance barely mattered.

He held me close and we danced together. slowly moving and picking up pace every few minutes.

He looked into my eyes as i softly laughed about this whole thing

"You know I love you right? and only you." he lowered his eyelids

"I do. I do know. and you know I love you too?"

"Of course, sweetheart"

We danced for hours just being close to each other. Promising love and care every hour.

I got tired and Monty had to charge so we called it a night.

Music man put back on his oddly sexual songs and we returned to Monty's room where I immediately crashed on the couch with the Montgomery Plush

• Monty POV •

They laid on the couch, not a care in the world. at peace. so adorable.

I never really thought I'd want to leave. I mean hell where could I go? I don't even know how it'd work. but for them I'd do anything.

Love is weird. isn't it?

I left the room to charge.

• Vanessa POV •

"well they killed a kid in plain sight if course they'll be caught! the dumbass."

Burntrap nodded. He was barely alive. I was barely myself. I didn't have control. He did. and the inner part of my thoughts hated it. I long for a freedom i don't know i can even get.

"Well. I am close enough to coming back. there is no need to worry"

"Right of course."

I always wanted to ask what kids had to do with this but, no control over myself. It's difficult.

"And, what about y/n? they're getting into stuff. getting more rank from the boss."

"As long as they don't find me it will be fine. do not worry."

I nodded and left.

Y/n could be the ticket to freedom. and I know this, but.my.mind is against them. He is against me being free.

He just wants to live forever.

I want to get out of this mess
