Miran stood watching his phone, should he call or should he not? Ever since he saw Kim's mother, the feeling of making a mistake bothered him so much.

"Miran?" Eisa called.

"Oh, Eisa."

"Is something wrong?"

"No, I just—" he stopped looking at his cell. Kim's text had just come in.

"Seems like you were expecting a text," Eisa laughed.

"Why are you two here?" Miran frowned at Eisa.

"Anyways, tell me you're gonna come to Dubai soon."

"Hm, I would for your anniversary I've told you!"

"Since you met Kim, you've been a full Californian."

"Stop, it's not just her, I have work there and here."

"I can see that, you must really like her."

"Yeah, I do. She makes me... want to do better. I'm always restless, I guess."

"Believe me you ain't lying," Eisa laughs. Miran wasn't the lover boy type, but since Kim got into his life, is like he wanted everything to be perfect for her.

"And it feels like I'm not doing it right."

  "How?"

"She doesn't tell me things. I feel like a part of her doesn't want to be with me, you know."

"It's been two months, give her time," Eisa says.

"Thanks for letting me stay here," A female voice came from behind interrupting them. Lina had a smirk on her face as she got down the stairs.

"Oh, that's no problem." Miran cleared his throat.

"Yeah, it isn't," Eisa watched the way he took his eyes off her. Something was up.

"Hope she wouldn't misunderstand?"

"What?" Miran turned back to her. Her hair was dripping and she began to dry it with a towel.

"Kim." She giggled, her eyes met Eisa's.

"You're only staying for a day, stop being dramatic," he laughed, dialling Kim's phone.

"What? Miran, I need more days."

"Stop acting like you're homeless, Lina. You could literally buy ten houses right now if you wanted."

"Still,"

"Still nothing. Book a room, I told you Kim would move in soon." he walked out.

"You only just asked her, right?"

"Hmm so?" He gawked at her.

"Hey?"Kim's voice was heard.

"Is everything okay?" Miran says, walking into his room. Lina watched him till the door closed behind him.

"You still like Miran?" Eisa says after some time.

Lina scoffed. "Mind your business. I don't."

Lina continued drying her hair before Miran came back out. He looked cheery than he had all day and Lina hated it. Kim made him happy, she was so sure.

"Why are you still in California though?" Lina rolled her eyes at him.

"Work's been great," he leaned on the couch.

"I see," Lina's face looked down. Her plan to stay with Miran wasn't working and Eisa only made things awkward.

  "Anyways..."
