A/N: this is set in a world with no COVID

Michelle Levine's POV

I woke up with my head pounding and my throat extremely sore.

I sat up a bit and went into an uncontrollable coughing fit, the noise caused Walker to wake up (he was a very light sleeper).

"What's wrong, babe?" He asked in a groggy tired voice, sitting up.

"Nothing, I think I just caught a cold or something, go back to bed," I said, softly brushing his hair.

"Don't be ridiculous, lie down, I'll get you some cold medicine then ill make you some soup," he said.

"What?! No! It's your day off, I'll just figure something out," I insisted, sitting up more, but he gently pushed me down.

"Absolutely not, you're way more important," he said and I pouted, after a few seconds I gave up.

"Okay, thank you, I love you," I told him.

"Love you too," he said getting up and going to the kitchen.

After a few minutes, he returned with a spoonful of medicine and a bowl of soup. Walker put the soup on the bedside table and carefully tilted my head.

I swallowed the medicine, wincing slightly at the burn of my throat.

Suddenly, something dawned on me.

"Wait, you can't get sick! You should go before you get sick too." I said.

"Sh, sh, it's okay, I don't mind," he insisted, stroking my hair.

I tried to protest but he cut me off.

"Eat some soup," he said trying to change the subject, I gave him a look at his attempt to distract me but sighed when I realized he wasn't budging.

After finishing it I decided to take a quick nap.

Walker Scobell's POV

I had very little knowledge on what to do when someone was sick so out of desperation, I decided to call someone for help.

First, but after a few missed call, I tried calling my parents but they didn't pick up.

So I decided to call the one other person who would definitely answer and had kids so he would know how to deal with sickness.

It rung twice before he answered.

"Hey kid, whats up?" Ryan said.

"hey! so... Michelle is sick and I have no idea what to do, no one else answered so I decided to call you," I rambled on.

"Huh, I don't think I'd be any help, hold on, I'll get Blake," Ryan said, distant yelling was heard and the phone made a rustling sound.

"Hey sweetie, what's wrong?" She said in a motherly tone that was usually reserved for Michelle.

"M-Michelle is sick, and I don't really know what to do," I said.

"Okay, lemon water and herbal tea usually helps, also make sure she gets a lot of sleep," she said.

"Okay, thank you," I said.

"No problem, tell Michelle I hope she gets better," she said, I smiled though she couldn't see it.

"Will do, bye!" I said.

"Bye!"

I did exactly what she told me and let Michelle rest some more.
