Chapter 1 : Sapphire and amber eyes

Childe POV:

A few weeks now has passed after osials Unleashing and ever since then I still couldn't believe the Lord of Geo Was actually Mister Zhongli.. I can't believe that they wouldn't even share any simple information! They basically played me. The liyue chixing are still On the move to find the one who unleashed Osial, so that's why I can't really move freely all over liyue these past few days.. Bumber.

As the ginger haired man walked through liyue, he caught sight of the kids playing down the streets while he glanced at them from a far he can't help but wonder what childhood really felt like.. after all he did get cheated out of his childhood, as he kept looking at them the kids couldn't help but notice him looking so they approached the ginger haired man, one of the little kids uttered
"Hey mister! We couldn't help but notice that you were looking at us" Childe quickly snapped back to reality as he slightly smiled at the little one and patted each of them one by one.

"I was just watching you guys play, since I have nothing else to do" childe said with a soft tone. He knew kids were fragile and sensitive so he tried his best to be polite.

"what about you come join us play!" One of the kids shouted, as childe smiled at them once more "I'm an adult, not a kid" he let out a soft chuckle and got down on his knees to meet the eyes of the kids, "now go on and pla-" as he was cut off by a fatui agent quickly Approaching childe.

"Sir! I apologize for my Disturbance but there was an urgent mission for you." Childe turned to the fatui agent as he made the kids leave. "And that is?" Childe asked with a rather annoyed tone, "Some treasure hoarders Invaded one of our weakened camps in mount tianheng, we need you to fix the matter" childe looked at the fatui agent with an annoyed face "Can't they do that themselves? The fatui's weapons are advanced after all." As the fatui agent was just about to talk childe suddenly cut her off "you know what I won't ask anymore, just give me the specific location of the Camp." As the fatui agent told him the location of the invaded camp, childe quickly fled liyue to go to mount tianheng.

As childe spotted the invaded camp, he stopped at the cliff as he looked at the camp that was on the bottom of the cliff. Childe Jumped down as he landed on the ground. "Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen! I think you know why I'm here?" The treasure hoarders prepared for Combat as one of them Laughed "Only one Fatui agent? They've gotta be kidding me" as childe got on his feet, he couldnt help but feel so Pissed but he just grinned and went to his melee stance.

"For your Information, I'm not only a fatui agent.. I'm childe, the 11th of the fatui harbingers" as he quickly charged and started to slash each of them with his dual hydro blades. He didn't expect that there were a lot of Treasure hoarders that invaded the camp. As he was slashing and fighting through the crowd of treasure hoarders he didn't realize that he was full of blood, Then suddenly one of the treasure hoarders threw a electric bomb at childe as it hit his wounds that was caused by the foul legacy transformation. He couldn't help but feel a sharp pain on his back as he was knocked down, he quickly got up and attacked the attacker with perfect clarity as if nothing happened. But then the last standing treasure hoarder threw a fire bomb at childe as his body overloaded and fell back as he could feel the pain on his body worsening as his vision becoming blurry. But before he passed out a brown haired man suddenly stepped in, he had a touch of golden orange on the end of his hair.. He had long flawless hair and he was pretty tall, he was dressed in a rather formal suit. But childe didn't last long, he passed out.

As he awoken he blinked a few times as his sapphire eyes Met a pair of beautiful amber eyes, his heart skipped a beat as he broke the eye contact and as he tried to sit down the man with the amber eyes wouldn't let him. "What the hell! Let me sit down!" Then his eyes widened as he noticed that the one who saved him was mister Zhongli. "If you sit down your wounds will worsen, it will cause you grave pain Childe." As the man held childe down, Childe couldn't help but make eye contact as well, their faces were so close that only one more push they would've kissed. Childe's heart Fluttered "let me go! I won't sit down! Just let me go!" Zhongli was hesitant at first but he let childe go. As awkwardness filled the room, "why did you save me? And first of all how did you even know where I was?" Childe asked with confusion as he looked at zhongli, "to answer your question's I happened to pass by, then I spotted you.. Fighting, it was obvious that you were hurt so I took you i-" as he was cut off "But why did you saved me?! I almost destroyed the city that you built! why did yo-" Zhongli looked at childe as he held childe's shoulder even though he really wanted to hold childe's hand. "Relax.. Don't shout, your wounds will hurt, You were in bad shape, I couldn't just watch and see you die" Childe looked at zhongli's eye's, he could tell that Zhongli was telling his true intentions but then childe remembered his tasks. "I need to go." As he pushed zhongli's hand off of his shoulder and tried to sit down but Zhongli only held him down.

"I told you, your gonna get hurt." Zhongli said with a soft tone. "mister zhongli.. I have work to attend to! Now let me go!" As the ginger yelled. "I can just tell them what happened. Your in a bad shape, you can't be fighting at this state" the ginger pulled the brunettes collar closer to his face. "don't tell them! They'll think I'm weak." As childe looked at zhongli with angry sapphire eyes. "Then what am I gonna say?" As the brunette noticed the gingers beautiful sapphire eyes. He couldn't help but to admire childe's eyes. "don't tell them anything, and let me go!" As he pulled zhongli's collar down, as their faces were inches away from each other, "I'll just tell them that your out of town." Childe noticed that their faces was close as hell. Then he let zhongli's collar go. "So does that mean I can tell them?" Zhongli asked. The ginger just looked at him as he let out a sigh and nodded.

"Get some rest childe, if you need anything just call out my name. " as zhongli was about to leave. Childe pulled the man's wrist "Thank you.." As childe looked at zhongli with a sincere smile. Zhongli stared in shock that he said thank you.. After all he basically just manipulated childe in the past. Zhongli couldn't help but smile as well, then zhongli rushed out of the room as he looked at the part of his wrist where childe held him. His heart skipped a beat by just remembering childe's sapphire eyes.

Childe couldn't help but to feel so stupid on saying those words. "I shouldn't have said that.. Why did I even say thank you"
As childe remembered zhongli's smile, he couldn't help but bury his head on the pillow.. As he Felt his face turning red he wished to see his smile one more time..

Zhongli Also wished to see childe's smile once more.. Especially his sapphire eyes, they both didn't noticed that they're slowly falling for each other, and that's where the story begins.
