TW: There will be mentions of panic attacks in this chapter so if you are uncomfortable with this topic, I would suggest skipping this chapter.

"I knew I was having a panic attack. I hadn't had one in a while, though, and I'd forgotten how they made everything like it-and I- was going to fall apart. How they reminded me of how trapped I was." Elizabeth Scott

Elijah POV

Something felt off. The moment this guy stepped into our home, something felt really off. I just can't figure out what. Don't ask me why because I don't know, there was just something about him that was-well off. Me and everyone else were shaking his hand and we were having a casual conversation with this John guy.

Dad had his usual business face on, making sure to show no emotions in front of a potential associate with the business. We all have to keep up this front in front our associates to invoke fear, making them far too scared to double cross us.

"I must say Mr. Romano you truly have a beautiful home." Mr. Miller expressed as he looked around the entry way of our home. Dad simply nodded his head in acknowledgement to Mr. Miller. Can he make it any more obvious that he doesn't want to be here? At least I have the decency to act like I care.

Dad's eyes wonder around the room trying to find something to interest him, eventually they land on something, and the look of boredom is immediately replaced with a look a of pride with joy mixed in.

"Mr. Miller, I would like to introduce you to my one and only daughter, Isabella." Dad announced, his face beaming with pride. I should have known only one thing or rather person could make his eyes light of with that much joy that fast.

Me and my brothers all turn around to face our only little sister, moving to the side so that Mr. Miller could see her. Mr. Miller finally turned around with slight confusion on his face probably at the announcement that we have a sister. The Romano's are known for having only males born into the family especially when it comes to the mafia world.

I observed John as he saw my sister making sure his eyes didn't wonder somewhere they shouldn't but for some reason a look of panic seeped into his features. Which was soon replaced by the look of anger at the sight of my Sorella. I look over at my sister to see her pale and shaky. It was clear she was scared but why? (sister)

I looked over at the rest of my family to see if they have any clue what's going on with our Sorella. I made direct eye contact with Leo first, he just shrugged his shoulders at the silent question I was asking. It was the same with everyone else. Even dad. (sister)

We all seemed to just be standing here observing the other for answers, every now and then glancing at Mr. Miller or Isabella to see if either of them moved or even broken eye contact first. I glance over at Bella once more just to see her looking more terrified than before. Then it happened.

She spoke.

Breaking the silence, we have been standing in. Although I have absolutely no idea what she said. I know she said something. Isabella cleared her throat before speaking again.

"G-ge-get o-out," Isabella muttered out meekly, her voice barely loud enough to hear. My eyes widened in surprise. Bella's never acted this way before, what the hell did this guy do to her to make her act like this?

"Why, Bella?" The words fall from my lips before I could give it second thought. My words made a questioning look fall over Bella's face showing that she was thinking about the answer to my question.

"Amore Mio, please answer Elijah's question." Dad demanded trying to keep his tone calm but it's clear that he's getting aggravated from not knowing what's going on. (my love)
