About 10 minutes later I was making final touches on my design and I heard a knock. "Come in" I said , not looking up at who it was. I was so focused on this one detail. When I was finished I felt someone kiss me on my neck "Hey gorgeous" I recognize that voice it's Ivan. I looked to my side and smiled. "Hey" I said to him, causing him to smile. God, I feel like a teenager in high school. After we just started dating, I feel butterflies all over my stomach. "When are you heading home?" He says leaning against my desk and I look over to see my clock. It was 7:30pm. "Uhm right now I just wanted to finish some small details but I'll finish the rest tomorrow I'm exhausted" I say as I start to put things away and when I'm done I walk in front of him and wrap my arms around his neck and he wraps his so he's holding my back. "You know for being scared about starting to date, you seem comfortable" he says and I slid my hand down so they're on his chest and I look at him " I know, I don't know why its just I feel like I can be... normal around you for some weird reason" I say looking down at his chest avoiding eye contact because of how nervous he makes me. He uses his fingers to lift my chin up forcing me to look at him. "And you can, I don't want you to feel weird or nervous around me. I want us to feel normal and free ok?" he says and I just nod, he leans in and gives me a quick kiss that sends butterflies all over my body.
We pulled back from our kiss and stared at each other and my phone started ringing. "It's always the damn phones," he says, causing me to chuckle. I picked my phone up and it was Justin. "It's my brother but I'm going to head home, see you tomorrow?" I ask him "I'll walk with you to the parking lot" he says and I nod, I pick up my brothers phone call as we start to walk out of my office.
"Hello big brother" I said to my brother on the phone. "Hey Lottie, how was your first day of work?" He makes me chuckle a little. "It was good tin tin" I say to him laughing "So what are you doing right now?" he said "I'm just leaving the company, about to head home, why?" I asked him. He normally just asks me when he wants to go out somewhere. "I wanted to ask you if you wanted to go to the club near your apartment with Waverly, Alexandra, Simon, Austin, Elijah and me?" he said and I started laughing "wait, wait, wait... you are asking me your little sister who just started her job today and has work tomorrow to go out clubbing tonight? Are you out of your mind Justin?" I say laughing and I hear him laughing on the other end, I look over to Ivan and he's smiling at me. He wraps his hand around my waist. "Well when you say it like that it makes me seem irresponsible" Justin says laughing. "That's the whole point you idiot" I say laughing back. "So are you going or not?" he says more seriously when we are done laughing. "No, maybe during the weekend or next week when I feel better and more confident at work" I say and I can hear him sigh on the other end "fineee, we'll talk later you boring child" he says laughing and I scoff "boring! Me! Never" I say like I'm offended. "Okay bye Lottie love you" he says to me causing me to smile. "Bye tin tin, love you too say hi to everyone for me!" I say to him and hang up. By this point we are almost reaching my car so I stick my phone in the back pocket of my jeans and take my keys out of my purse.
"You and your brother are pretty close huh" Ivan says, catching my attention. "Yeah, he's always been there for me, we're 6 years apart so when I was about to start college he was starting his publishing company. He was working his ass off for that company and trying to pay for my school but I wouldn't let him, the company... it meant to much for him and I didn't want to be the reason for him to not put everything he had into it so I was working at the same time as going to school a year and a half later his company blew up so we started living a different life then when I started working as a Landscape Architect we bought our parents their dream house and I bought my own apartment my brother has his own huge house and we've been living a better life" I say to Ivan as he looks at me smiling leaning towards me leaving no space between us as I was leaning on my car, he kissed me and butterflies came back I smiled during the kiss and so did he. "Well I'll see you tomorrow Charlotte" he says walking backwards towards his car. "Bye" I say and enter my car and start driving to my apartment.
