32. Daminette - Incorrect Quote

Hello, I'm back. I'm probably going to go hiatus for a while due to exams for two months. I will try to update in between but I will come back officially on June 25th 2022.

Marinette was scrolling through youtube, it was her birthday and she was bored. Her boyfriend was on a mission. Suddenly a message popped up. It was from Damian. She smiled and opened the message, expecting a birthday wish but what she saw shocked her to no end.

--Texting--

Damian: Marinette, I don't wanna be your boyfriend anymore

Marinette read over the message multiple times and she let out a sob. Everything was going perfectly. At least that's what she thought.

She plopped on the couch with a tub of icecream in hand and sobbed while watching her Jagged on TV. How much she wished he was here right now.

Someone knocked on her door and she groaned as she made herself look presentable, ok, that was a stretch but still.

She opened the door to see her ex-boyfriend on one knee with a ring.

Damian said "I want to be more, I want to be your husband."

Marinette stared at Damian and slammed the door shut in his face, she thought back to the message, it had no punctuation in the end and Damian was always annoyed by use of incorrect punctuation. It frustrated him to no end when she used multiple exclamation marks.

She threw open the door where he looked at her hopefully, still on one knee. She slapped him across the face a few times, then jumped into his arms and sobbed into his shirt while repeating one word "Yes."

"Yes. yes, yes you idiot, you scared me" Marinette said while sobbing into Damian's chest.

"I'm sorry Angel" Damian replied, and hugged her while slipping the ring onto her finger.
