I walked into my bathroom to wash the blood and events of the day off. I must have scrubbed myself half a dozen times before I felt a little clean, I looked down at my blood stained finger tips and scrubbed them even harder to the point I didn't know if they were red with the left over blood or for the constant scrubbing.
I got out of the shower and didn't bother looking in the mirror, the doctor said everyone in my family is fine and Mario should wake up in a few hours, he was just over exhausted, everyone is but I seem to have enough energy to last days.
I decided to help dad with some work since everyone else needed rest, he tried to get me to rest too but I told him that if he didn't go then neither would I, it seemed to put a smile on his face.
But I needed a shower first, James brought me to my room, he refused to let me look in the hallways as if I hadn't seen it all before, I didn't bother peaking because the metallic smell of blood made me want to throw up.
I got out of the bathroom and started getting dressed in my closet, I put on a red sweater... it was still Christmas after all. I check my phone at it was only 2pm yet so much has happened since I woke up at 9 this morning.
I was about to leave when I heard my phone ring, I checked and saw Derek calling, I signed, I really wish he was here because I really need someone to comfort me right about now.
D - Derek E - Emilia
D - OMG thank god you answered, I heard what happened please tell me your alright, did you get hurt?
He started speaking quickly and asking questions, I felt a small smile on my face, it's nice to know he cares enough about me to worry.
E - I am fine, we lost a lot of men and a few of us got hurt, I have a bruise forming from getting hit but it's nothing too major.
I signed, the bruise was huge, if I hasn't been used to getting hurt I would probably be in bed now barely moving. It will most likely hurt to walk later but so many people got hurt worse so I can't complain.
D - Why weren't you in the safe room?
E - Because I will not hide when I am more than capable of helping fight.
D - Don't be mad, I was just worried
E - I know I'm just really stressed right now, can I call you later?
D - Of course Em, I am booking a flight for tonight so I should arrive tomorrow morning alright?
