"Emilia you're going to be late hurry up" dad calls from upstairs, I take off the wraps on my hands and rush upstairs to shower and get ready for school.
I cant believe winter break is over already, the 2 weeks flew by even though they were filled with a lot of events... if you can even call them that.
I received another note 2 nights ago but and I showed my father yesterday morning, they letters are typed so we cant track the handwriting neither.
I quickly put on my uniform after doing my hair and makeup. Grab my bag and run to the kitchen to be pleasantly surprised by mom making waffles with berries.
"Where do you even find berries during the winter?", I ask while placing a mouthful of food into my mouth. Mom laughs from the stove but continues joking.
"Money can buy anything", Mario points out and I roll my eyes, I get they all grew up with money and getting what ever they wanted but money does not buy everything, "Money doesn't buy love", I saw and Nicholas chuckles from behind his newspaper.
"Whats so funny", i ask and he puts down the paper looking at me, "Money can buy anything, including love", he says.
"I thought I raised you better than that", dad saws walking into the kitchen and up to mom so she can help him with his tie, Nicholas shrugs "Not everyone can find true love like you two", he says.
"Derek and Emilia love each other", Aaron points out and I regret starting this conversation now, "And how do you know he's not using her", he says and I feel a ping in my chest. That hurt
"Shit Em I didn't mean it like that", Nicholas says with his face showing regret, I shake my head and plaster a smile on my face "Don't worry about it", and finish off my breakfast as quickly as possible.
Derek and I are young and also haven't been together long so I cant expect Nicholas to think we are actually series, which is fine by me, it hurts but I know Derek's feelings for me are true. If he was using me I would have known by now. Also what could he be using me for?

"That race was rigged", Jay says still not over loosing the race which was over a week ago, I laugh as Johnny places a hand on his shoulder "It's been a week, move on bro".
Jay doesn't seem to budge, "Don't be a sore looser", Lucy says finally coming out of the changing rooms, this girl takes forever to change into the PE clothes.
"By the way Emilia are you trying out for track in March?", Lucy asks me trying to change the conversation quickly before Jay explodes. I give her points for that.
I shrug, I love running in fact I run ever morning and I used to run even back when I lived with my aunt but I was never able to to try out for track because I had to be home straight after school ended and also what if I wasn't good enough.
