The girls continue to laugh and watch the game while Anne writes the article. Giving me dirty glances here and there. I decide after the game to explain what's going on with me and Gilbert. I at least want to be friends with the girl.

Next thing the girls knew was Moody tipping his hat while skating towards them saying "Ansley" then him almost falling in which all the girls laughed about.

"Now your swooning over Moody, god pick your man Ansley" Anne snapped while writing the Article still. I, in disbelief that Anne said that.

"What is she talking about?" Diana asks me with a puzzled look which brings all the girls over.

"She thinks I fancy Gilbert Blythe" I replied "Wait, do you?" Ruby buds in with her shaky voice about to cry.

"Ruby, I don't fancy anyone. I just moved here. I rather make friends with you than fancy someone I just met" I replied smiling down at Ruby taking her in for a hug.

Anne apologized for taking the situation out of hand, assuming I had fancied Gilbert. The girls laughed it off until Gilbert himself halted in front of them.

"Isn't Ruby covering the game?" He asks while steadying his balance. "Ruby's very preoccupied" Tillie chimed with a chuckle, receiving a puzzled face from Gilbert, "With a certain someone." Tillie finishes. Jane and Tillie both chuckle while Gilbert looks over at Ruby with the same expression.

Ruby just smiles at him and he skates away. "He noticed me! He looked right at me and smiled!" she said all cheery, Josie calls her delusional but I am pretty sure Ruby didn't hear Josie because she just kept mumbling "Ruby Blythe."

"This stupid stick's too short for me this year!" Moody complains while coming up and stopping in front of the girls. Billy replies with "Be a man take the blame." I just scoffed at that remark.

"Oh they're here" Moody exclaims, skating over towards two Indians "Now we'll see just how badly you're gonna swallow your words, Billy boy." Ones a man and the other is a girl, a little younger than I am. Moody takes his new stick and tosses the other one, then annunciates his thank you to them.

Gilbert skates over to the Indians, he talks quietly so it's hard for me to make out what they are saying. To me it seems like Gilbert is giving him money, maybe for a stick like Moody.

Anne notices them and walks over to Gilbert and the Indians. Anne wanted to write and article about the Indians and how they make their sticks.

While Anne was talking still, Billy skates towards them wiping his forehead. Billy throws whatever he wiped his forehead with towards the Indians, most likely demanding a stick. Next thing I know the Indians are leaving, displeased it looked like.

Anne returns to the group and tells them what happened. A little after that the hockey game ends and everyone gathers their stuff and leaves. I sit by my skates again, putting them on. I wanted to skate some more since the hockey game is over.
