THE TRUTH

i woke up when ate move beside me, i scratch my eye before i open it.

"oh your awake. tinulugan mo ako kagabi" i rolled my eyes

"ang sakit ng ulo ko" she said then hold her head

"okay okay wait me here" i said then pumunta naman ako sa kusina namin para kumuha ng pagkain at gamot pampatanggal hangover.

agad naman akong bumalik sakanya with a tray.

"go on eat na" i said, she sincerely look at me. para siyang may gustong sabihin pero hindi niya masabi. what's wrong with her.

"may nasabi ba ako sayo kagabi?" she ask. i weirdly look at her.

"what do you mean?" i ask.

"nothing" she said then she continue eating.

halos ilang minuto rin kami tinabunan ng katahimikan dahil kahit ako masakit din ang ulo ko that's why i decided to go uptairs para mag shower.

"you sure you okay there?" i ask and about to grab her plate because she's already done on her food when someone spoke behind her.

"let me do that for my princess" i look at him. it's duterte. shocks ang corny nila kala mo mga teenager lang eh.

i rolled my eyes

"ang corny niyo" i said then again sarcastically scoff.

"alam mo bitter ka ng taon noh" ate said then laugh after she see my irritably face.

"ewan bye na nga" i said then go uptairs. shocks bakit ba ako naiinggit? huhu. sino ba kase ang mr. right ko at antagal dumating

after i open my room door i immediately undress myself and grab my robe and i was about to open the shower when i remember the note that mama meldy gave me last night.

kanino galing yon sakanya? well this is the first time she gave me this kind of note because most of time lahat ng message niya for me ay sinasabi niya saakin in person.

i open the white envelope then a letter pop up with me.

halos maluwa ko naman ang mata ko ng makita ko naman ang pangalan ng babaeng asawa ni greg. it's cassandra. yes! i know her name already when ate told me last yr.

simula palang tinatamad na akong basahin, sino naman ang normal na babaeng bibigyan pa ng note ang naging minsang ka fling ng asawa niya tsk.

kahit tinatamad at nawawalan na ng interest i manage to read the note

Hi it's me cassandra.

i guess you know me already aren't you? this is the first time i made a note for you well unfortunately i don't know you i just know you being ex of greg and to be honest when the moment i saw you i wonder at you already because your so beautiful and i can't deny that your etheral and simplicity beauty can make greg fall inlove any moment. a hilarous and embrassment feeling kept condensing me right now. i really don't have idea how to start to say everything to you that's why i made this to invite you because i saw a picture of you na you are here in philippines already after 5yrs of waiting your here finally! so i think this is the time to told you the truth behind all of this. you need to know everything. i expecting you tomorrow in the morning i want you to come in the intramuros. 7:25 please don't make a second minded. gave me a chance to explain everything, if you didn't let greg. please let me so that i can freely live in my own life anymore.

i ended up being irritably when i read the last part tsk. bakit ba niya ako gusto makita ano yon para ipamukha saakin na masaya na sila ni greg ngayon? na okay na sila habang ako ito di parin makalimot sa lahat? damn this. bakit ba nila ako ginaganito.

what's her talking about?!

hindi pa ba sapat na nasakanya na si greg? hindi pa ba sapat na kasal na sila? at ano naman ang sasabihin niya saakin na katotohanan na mahal na mahal siya ni greg! na mas mahal siya ni greg kesa saakin. 

naiinis ko namang tinapon ang note before i enter in bathroom. i open the shower then my tears immediately came out.

fuck this! bakit ba ang rupok rupok ko pagdating sakanila. bakit di ko sila matiis?!

bakit gusto ko parin pumunta kahit na alam kong ako rin naman ang masasaktan!

ilang minuto rin ng matapos akong maligo. i wore a simple outfit before i walk downstairs.

sumalubong naman saakin si mama meldy at daddy na kumakain na.

"oh irene your awake i thought you sleep again" mama said i smile.

"i shower myself." i said.

"mukhang you make yourself drown in liquor kagabi ha" daddy said i simply laugh.

"where's ate" pangiiba ko naman ng usapan.

"she's with duterte" they said i just nood myself. edi wow

after a minutes i still staring at my food i don't have decision to eat this. what i mean i lost my appetite already. wala na akong gana.

"irene why are you kept staring at your food? i don't think i teach you that way" mama said. i simply rolled my eyes.

"i saw you" she said i just awkwardly smile before i bite my bread and sip my milk beside me.

"mom i really don't want na" i said sounds like i'm begging.

but seriously wala na talaga akong gana. gusto ko lang munang mahiga ngayon, maghapon.

"ayaw nanaman kumain ng bata" i glared at dad when he said that

"dad!" i said.

"honey look at yourself already ang payat payat mo na, come on eat that"  mama said. i thought she's the one who tolerating me. tsk

i failed.

"dad" i pout i see dad's smile.

"fem don't your ever try to consider that kind of attitude andaming taong nagugutom ngayon and you want your daughter left her plate with a food?" mama said they seems like arguing. i giggles.

dad look at me once again.

"meldy just let her be. our daughter is a big girl anymore hmmm" daddy said before i smile and stood up and go to dad direction.

"i love you dad." i said.

tumingin naman si mama meldy saakin.

"kununsinte nanaman ang anak" mama rolled her eyes i laugh before i walk uptairs and lay at my bed.

and start scrolling on social internet.
