Y/N'S POINT OF VIEW

There are four of them, two of whom are the largest I have ever seen. Their glowing eyes are focused on me, their growls sending chills up my spine.

"Holy shit," I mutter.

"Mina... wake up," I say, shaking Mina. She wakes up immediately.

"What is it?" she asks incredulously, lifting her head from leaning on my shoulder. "Is something wrong?"

I signal to her not to make any noise, then point toward the window. Her eyes widen when she sees the creatures waiting for us outside.

"Wake everyone up," I whisper. Surprisingly, my voice remains steady despite the fear gripping me. "Don't make any noise." Mina nods, slowly untangling herself from me.

She crawls over to our companions and quietly wakes them up.

The dogs outside remain still. They're just staring at me intently, growling, their saliva dripping from their mouths.

For some reason, this makes them even more terrifying.

The moonlight allows me to identify their breeds: two Great Danes, a Siberian Husky, and the smallest one, a Golden Retriever.

These breeds are among the largest, but they're also known for their gentleness. I hope that gentleness hasn't completely faded after they were infected by the airborne virus.

I'm frozen in place, not daring to move an inch, lest the dogs interpret it as an indication of an attack. My heart beats so fast and hard that I'm sure it will pop out of my chest.
