That night, everything changed for me.
I decided to go to the party my school was having at my mother's small convention center in the forest; all to commemorate my team's championship win from the day before. I was tired and didn't even want to go to school, but I was convinced on going by my mom, who told me Iris called asking if I was going.
I decided to wear a silver buttoned shirt and dark jeans. I didn't want to go my best that night two weeks before the prom. A prom to which I hadn't invited anyone yet. But I did have someone in mind... Iris. She wasn't necessarily the hottest girl in school, some might say, but she was beautiful and my best friend, and I wanted to confess my feelings to her.
But that plan was ruined with what happened to me when I got to the party.
My body and head started to ache terribly. I ran to the woods to get some fresh air and hoped no one saw me. I started to feel my bones pop and my body grew warm.
When everything was over I discovered what happened. I went into the woods as a human, and woke up in the morning, as a wolf.
