Chapter 7 "F/N"

Y/N had woken up around 30 minutes ago and had gotten dressed in casual clothing. Y/N looked over in his room and saw a wooden sword mounted on the wall and he'd gingerly slide his hands across the wooden blade a small smile on his face.

'It's Saturday so today I'm free... I'm going to go check on the old man. Make sure he's doing alright.'

Y/N left and was now boarding an airship back to vale.

Y/N reached Vale and made his way to a certain shop.

L/N Dust Shop

Y/N opened the door hearing a bell ring as the door would swing open.

"Hey, Y/N!"

Y/N looked over and saw one of the employees, Holden Pascall

"Hey Holden. Where's the old man?"

"Your dad is in the back."

"Thanks."

Y/N started walking to the back of the shop and saw his father.

"Yo."

F/N turned around and looked at Y/N.

"What's up kiddo!" F/N would come over and ruffle his son's hair. F/N was around 187cm (6'2)

"What are you up to, old man?"

"Old man? I'm only 40! Perfectly young!"

"Um, yeah sure."

"What brings ya by kiddo?"

"No reason. Just felt like checking on my dad."

"Aw, that's so sweeeeeeeet!!" F/N said wrapping his son in a bone crushing hug.

Y/N had to pry his father off him.

"If you crush my bones, I won't be able to come here anymore!!"

"Oh right..." F/N said bringing his fist down to his palm in realization.

'H-How is this guy my father...'

"Let's go grab a bite to eat and talk about your beacon experiences!"

"Yeah, yeah..."

F/N and Y/N walked towards the front of the shop.

"Holden! You're in charge until I get back! Good luck!"

F/N handed Holden keys then him and Y/N went on their way.

Y/N and F/N were sat outside at a table both eating.

"So, how is beacon?"

"It's been good, great even."

"Made any friends?"

"Yeah, I have actually."

F/N looked surprised.

"Well, color me surprised you never had any friends at signal."

"Ironically one of my now friends at Beacon she had actually gone to signal as well."

"She?"

"Yeah, she."

"Y/N ♪♪♪" F/N said in a sing-songy voice.

"Dad, no. I don't see her that way. She's like a sister to me."

"Well, do you have anymore friends?"

"Yeah."

"What about teammates?"

"...Nah."

"Huh?"

"I don't have any teammates." Y/N spoke looking off into the distance.

"What?!"

"Yeah, apparently I'm the first ever solo team in Beacon's history."

"Well, that's great! I assume you know how dangerous it is?"

"Yeah, I do, but Headmaster Ozpin said I can do solo missions, but I could also tag along on missions with other teams if they would allow me to."

"That's cool. Now..."

Y/N looked over to his father.

"You have anybody specialll?? ♪♪♪"

Y/N just looked away from his father and rolled his eyes but couldn't fight off the smile coming onto his lips.

"Ah! I see that smile!"

"There is no smile! You need to put your contacts back in old man!!"

"Who is it?!!"

"Nobody!!"

Y/N was heading on an airship back to Beacon after hanging out and catching up with his father for a while. Y/N waved back to his father as he stepped onto the airship.

"Have fun!! But not too much fun!! You're not 18 yet!!!"

Y/N facepalmed with a small smile.

"Yeah, yeah old man!!"

The airship took off and Y/N gave one final wave to his father before the doors would close and he would be taken back to Beacon.

Just a short little chapter and introduce of F/N - The father of Y/N. Next chapter will be back to following the main storyline. And I'm sure you're all aware of what continues to draw close with Pyrrha.
