Shipping Etiquette: A PSA

I watched a video recently that struck me as honorable. Anything worth such high praise is something that I feel the need to make more people aware of. This video came onto my YouTube feed without warning. Without any knowledge of what it might contain, I clicked. I am a simple girl. I see Gojo Satoru, I click. (My page refreshed before I clicked on the actual Gojo video, so it came by even more of a suprise when there was no Gojo)

The very least I can say is that I was blessed. I learned so much, gained so much insight, and felt better about myself. This video earns an A+ in my book. It is titled- shipping etiquette by ColeyDoesThings.

It discusses, very entertainingly, how we should treat others online and in person about shipping. Shipping is one of the hardest things to be a part of in fandoms. It's a struggle to find non-toxic communities where ships can be respected as a joke, or serious. (I'm really glaring at the MHA fandom here) ColeyDoesThings puts these woes into a video as someone with experience.

Why do I feel the need to share this video with you all? Because shipping will appear everywhere. To my opinions in a coming soon chapter, to the fanfiction I write or you read, and even into regular old fandom communities. Some will shun you, others will welcome you with awaiting arms (just like you wish your husbando or waifu to do to you), and some will not even exist. (Ugh whyyyyy Greystone whyyyy is there no fandom for you? Why is it just me and my feelings???)

P.s.- Go read Greystone by Jacob Kennedy and Jean Knight Pace. It's a fabulous fantasy novel that doesn't have a fandom. I neeeeed more folks to chat with about this book. Pwease?
