Youtube. I believe in youtube at 3:30 a.m. supremacy. It's the time of night where you're descending into madness and you're finding yourself watching cursed/blessed VR videos, TikTok compilations, vines, and surprisingly well made AMVs.
I made a recent discovery at such an hour around a week ago. I discovered VR videos. Why didn't anyone tell me that VR videos have some of the most original comedy around? I don't even have a VR headset but I've been binging Visible's videos. (they made the video I linked)
The VR community is super funky as they aren't worried about, like, physics, being canceled, or being consistent with their editing. I find myself relating to the "not being consistent" part because I'm not a perfectionist in any sense. I literally can't spell for the life of me, so I had to let that part of me go early on. (Spellcheck is the best invention since AC.)
Now that we've touched on that, we should talk about AMVs. They're so cool, right?! I mean, it's like taking pure media and content and turning it into a music video. I've even seen some that are similar to trailers for shows. Being able to share good music to the rest of your fandom is quite an experience, I'll be honest. I've attempted to make a few in my lifetime, but I've only published one on Youtube. (so far, and it's not even that good, so I'm working on making a new one)
The BTS video I shared was incredible, plus the recommendations for it are always great. I'm not a huge BTS fan, but I do have a few favorite songs.
On a related note, I'm thinking of doing an unreasonable project. It's a crazy idea, but I'm desperate to do it. I want to do an edit for every playable Genshin Impact character at least 30 seconds in length. Then, as the final end product, have a full compilation of every edit. I have no idea why I want to do this so badly, but I would love to be able to say "I did that. Look at its glory." Then I would whisper in your ear, "Smash the like button, it was amazing and you know it"
But like, not in a creepy way.
