a new form, dueling club, and a pet

Y/n's pov:

I was sitting in the back of the library in the shadows when I hear madame pince. I look up from the book I was reading when she taps the desk with her wand and I see professor snape is with her.

Y/n: what is it that you need?

Snape: Lockhart is hosting a dueling club and I thought it would be good if he dueled the history's deadliest hunter and duelist and lost to them after dueling me and lost to prove that he is a fraud.

Y/n: hmmm tempting, embarrassing the pathetic fool. I'll do it and hopefully Dumbledore will know that we students need a proper professor after he duels us both. I'll do wand dueling and sword dueling against him since he says he is a master of both.

Snape: alright just don't kill him.....yet.

I do a slight bow to snape as he nods his head subtly when he shakes my metal hand in agreement to the deal and he leaves quickly. I put away the book I was reading and leave the library and see the golden trio and lily sitting at a table looking at a potion book.

I was in my common room meditating and trying to understand the visions I had seen this year when I felt myself gain a new form so I try and access it and succeed. When I open my eyes I see that I am taller and made of metal like frenzy but with two curved blades on the sides of my head.

I looked in the reflection of the metal walls in the meditation room. I shift back to normal.

It is the day of the first dueling club session. I stood near Hermione and lily in the crowd waiting for the session to begin. Eventually Lockhart appears and walks onto the platform arrogantly.

Lockhart: can you all see me?! Can you all hear me?! Excellent! Now allow me to introduce my assistant professor snape. Now no need to worry you will still have your potions master when I'm through with him.

Snape walks onto the platform in annoyance and anger at being called lockhart's assistant. They meet in the middle of the platform and lockhart does an overdramatic bow while snape nods his head subtly in return. They turn and walk away from each other about ten steps worth. They get into a combative stance. Snape is in a true combative stance while Lockhart is in a fancy stance that would not work when dueling.

Lockhart: as you can see we are in our accepting combat stance. We will fight but not to kill. 3, 2, 1!

Everyone who doesn't like Lockhart laughs as he flies back into the stone doorframe and loses his wand. As Lockhart stands up and takes his wand back from a fan girl, he walks back on the stage still aragant and smiles egotistically.

Lockhart: I knew exactly what you were going to do snape and I think it was wise of you to show them that spell. Let's have a pair of stu-

Snape: how about you duel a second year this time? Surely it will be easier for someone like you Lockhart.

Lockhart: ok how about both ms. Gran-

Snape: no I was thinking about hogwarts resident hunter fights you.

All the students: huh?

Lily: oh no.

Hermione: what's wrong lily? Do you know who professor snape is talking about?

Lily: yeah I know who it is. It's y/n.

I walk forward onto the platform with a helmet on that causes the pure-bloods to step back from the platform. I glance slightly at Hermione and lily as they both look at me shocked that I look so menacing and dangerous in the full armor.

Lockhart: oh fuck.

Y/n: not so aragant now are you?

Hermione's pov:

I look at y/n in shock that eventually he will look like as I watch him approach professor lockhart, I see Lockhart gulp in fear and hear him swear. I watch as y/n takes off the helmet and drops it on the ground so I grab it quickly before anyone else does. Lockhart does his bow but y/n seems to growl a little bit at Lockhart before bowing back in an almost calculating way with his metal hand behind his back. They turn around and y/n teleports to where snape stood as snape smirks ready to watch y/n beat Lockhart. Lockhart gets in his stance while y/n has his wand at his side ready to strike at any moment.

Lockhart: uh get in your accepting combat stance mr. L/n.

Y/n: I am.

Lockhart: uh stupifilarmess!

We watch as nothing happens and I realize maybe lily is right  when y/n starts laughing. Before he says something in a language that clearly isn't the Scottish Gaelic he sometimes speaks.

Y/n uses a fire spell by doing wordless magic which knocks Lockhart off his feet and when he stands up his pants are on fire which causes everyone to laugh even snape which is surprising. Y/n clears the fire and hands Lockhart a sword and Lockhart looks confused.

Y/n: this type of dueling is also important for when you don't have your wand.

Y/n pulls out a battle axe and the tips of the blades heat up. Lockhart charges then swings as y/n blocks and swings the sword around pushing Lockhart back which repeats three more times then y/n makes calculated swings that Lockhart barely dodges before y/n knees him in the groin hard. Lockhart drops quickly as y/n whispers something in his ear making him scared before y/n disappears by teleporting away. After Lockhart recovers enough Harry and Malfoy duel which leads to us finding out that lily is scared of snakes and it seemed like Harry told it to go for lily instead of Justin.

Y/n's pov:

I sat at the lake when I giant metal worm appears next to me.

I pet it and it shrinks to the size of my hand so I take to my common room as my pet.
