Lost Innocence

CHAPTER 14

 The next day Nathan went early to check on Sean. Once he open the door he was greeted with a panting Sean who seems to just have woken up probably by a nightmare

"Mr. Huxley are you alright?" he ask Sean who look at him for a while before nodding

"please don't be afraid I'm Doctor Nathan Walter, Ashford's family doctor" he introduced himself before the man again panicked

"hello doctor sorry about yesterday" Sean apologize remembering the event the other night

"no, actually we are more sorry you've just gained consciousness and we kind of scared you off sorry for that" Nathan politely apologized

"It's okay" Sean said looking around expecting to see the man he wanted to see but he is nowhere to be seen

Nathan noticed this and a small smile was formed in his face

"don't worry I just check on him he was still asleep" Nathan said

"ohhh" Sean just said and look down sadly which didn't go unnoticed by Nathan

"how are you feeling now Mr. Huxley?" Nathan ask as he approach Sean

"a little pain here and there but at least I can move my body now and please don't be too formal just Sean is fine" Sean said and slowly sit up and lean on the headboard

"I understand, so no headaches nor fever?" Nathan ask

"no"

"good then, but since you're still recovering I suggest you shouldn't move much for at least one week and you also need to take your medicine on time" Nathan said with a smile in his face

"thank you" Sean smiled back

Nathan walk towards the chair beside the bed and look at Sean in the eye

"you two have already talked?" Nathan asked Sean who immediately got what the other mean by his question

"mn" Sean said and look down again

"it didn't went well I suppose" Sean just nod his head

"he's still blaming himself?" Nathan

"no matter how I tell him it wasn't he just won't listen to me" Sean explained

"he was afraid" Nathan said making Sean look at him

"afraid?" Sean asked

"yeah.... your heart nearly stopped when he saved you from that b*stard, you almost lose all your blood, you were almost unrecognizable" Sean was stunned hearing this

He never really saw himself since he woke up and he expected himself to look wreck but not that wreck 'f*ck' he cursed in his mind

"he never really voiced it out but his eyes clearly show me how scared he is that day, I've never see him like that for years no matter whatever happened to him he was mostly collected and calm you see" Nathan smiled at him sadly

"but don't get me wrong I'm not blaming you, I also don't like him blaming himself, I hate it but at the same time I was a little happy that he's finally showing his emotions to us at least we know he's not fine no matter how strong he made himself appear in front of us" Nathan stood up and went near the glass wall and look outside
