Sounds of ambulance siren can be heard at the private hospital of the Ashfords as Danica was wheeled inside Nathan was already there ready for the operation
"she'll be fine" Nathan said assuring Raiden before he left to the operating room while Raiden and Catherine were both left outside
"she'll be fine" Catherine spoke but Raiden didn't give her any response so she just sat there watching Raiden who was kneeling on the floor until Darcel, Daeven and their father came
"Raiden ge" called out Darcel
"I didn't see it coming she was shot and I didn't do anything" he said looking at his bloody hands
"it's not your fault son" Mr. Ashford said tapping his shoulder Daeven then help him sit on the benches
"it happened so quickly" Catherine spoke
"it's alright she'll be alright" Mr. Ashford smiled at her and she just nodded
Two hours passed and Nathan finally came out of the operating room
"uncle" Nathan bowed
"how was my daughter?" Mr. Ashford ask
"she is in a stable condition now uncle don't worry the bullet missed any of her organs so there's nothing we should be worried about" Nathan said and all breathed in relief
"we are transferring her to the private room later tonight but for now she will remain at the recovery room for observation" he said
"thank you" Mr. Ashford said and Nathan just nod
As Nathan said, Danica was transferred at night and she also already regained her senses
"let me see my baby brothers first" she smiled while Darcel and Daeven had no choice but to stay still sitting in front of their sister
"you two are all grown up" she smiled
"ahem I think you are forgetting your father here" Mr. Ashford pouted like a teenager
"dad stop that it looks gross on you" Danica teased making her dad pout more
"my daughter doesn't love me anymore" he said sulkily making everyone in the room laugh
Danica finally opened her arms for a hug and her father went and the four hugged while Catherine who was being ignored, feeling out of place, step out of the room meeting her mother
"why did you come out?" ask her mother
"I'm just like an air inside" Catherine said rolling her eyes
"let's go" her mother again pulled her inside causing the other's to look at their direction
"Danica thank goodness your alright" Caroline said sounding all worried
"yeah sadly for you" she whispered that only her siblings heard it
"thanks" she smiled at her stepmother but internally rolling her eyes
"by the way Danica jie have you seen Darcel's lover" Daeven spoke diverting the attention
"that's what I've been meaning to ask you never send me a photo of him" Danica answered once again making the two being ignored and Mr. Ashford knew exactly that neither one of his children wanted the two in there so he approach the two
