i stare at the fireworks from the ground, that only symbolized happiness within the kingdom. they brightened the night sky's darkness. a million thoughts on my mind, as i watch them explode into nothingness. i hear footsteps from behind me, and lift my head up to see an upside down meliodas.
"what's going on, [ y/n ]?" he asked me with a smile. 
"meli!" i smile back at him. 
"hey!" he gave me a closed eye smile as he walked towards my side and laid down with me. he put his hands behind his head.
"i was told that the people have been liberated, and those suffering under forced labor are starting to return to their homes." another load of fireworks went off, "it will take a long time to rebuild after all this. the celebration of liones' founding festival is all thanks to you, and.." i began to say but meliodas cut me off.
"it's all thanks to you for bringing us together, right?" he turned on his side to face me, and i did the same. 
"it seems that the kingdoms journey is all over." i tell him, as a blush appeared on my now rosy cheeks as we were so close to one another.
