"how's this, ms. merlin?" escanor asked while massaging merlin's shoulders while her naked body was covered with bubbles in the bath. she had a book in her hands that she had been reading. escanor's face had been plastered with a reddish tint since the beginning.
"you're quite skilled, escanor." merlin complimented him as escanor moved his massage down her body to her calves. "it's true that i rebuilt the buildings overnight." merlin spoke, smiling as escanor turned her page without her needing to tell him. escanor moved once again to massage merlin's resting arm, and then back to her shoulders. "well, i was the one who destroyed half of them." escanor repeated this order to make sure that every part of merlin was receiving a balance amount of attention. "however, that's simply how it looks on the surface."
"on the surface?" escanor repeated merlin's last words as he stopped to looked up to merlin.
"the buildings may have been restored; but, that won't revive the dead, nor will it heal the souls of the people." merlin finished her explanation by turning another page within her book, "that said, this last battle unquestionably ended in victory for us seven deadly sins." she looked up to meliodas, [ y/n ] and ban. "i doubt that there's be any repercussions if you were a little happy, captain. look at [ y/n ], she's happy that she got a little bit of actions." merlin smiled at [ y/n's ] slightly lit up eyes at the mentioning of her and meliodas's victorious battle. meliodas, on the other hand, was smiling at her, yet also had a stern glare. he knew what that meant about [ y/n ], and he also knows that merlin was in on this secret too.
