I felt a rough tap on my shoulder and I lifted my head to see Chris

"Aye The bell rang." He told me before I stretched and grabbed my bag

"You straight?" He asked as he followed me and I shrugged

"Kind of." I mumbled

"How's everything playing out?" He asked

"Well she did the drug test in court and I failed so my daddy had to make agreement for me to stay with her and do temporarily custody with him, or stay with her permanently." I said before he sighed

"So it's official?" He asked before I nodded

"I'm sorry-

"Chris." We heard before we seen Kaliyah approaching us.

She gave him a smile before wrapping her arm around him.

"Sit with me for the pep rally." She smiled before looping her arm around his

"We'll finish talking." He reassured before I waved him off

"Don't worry about it." I mumbled before walking off to find Janae, but she was down with the cheerleaders.

I continued walking before eventually running into Jay and his friend group and he gave me a disguised look along with the rest of them causing me to roll my eyes and I turned around before continuing to walk away from the gym

After a while of chilling outside while the pep rally was going on I decided on pulling out my phone and calling my daddy.

"Hey-

"Can you come get me?" I asked before choking up on my words

"What's wrong ? Where's Mani?" He asked

"I don't know.. are you coming or not ?" I asked

"I'm on my way give me a minute."

After a moment of riding in silence my daddy finally spoke

"So are You gonna tell me what's wrong ??" He asked before I slanted in my seat

"Am I wrong to hate her ?" I asked before he looked at me before looking back et the road

"You're not obligated to love anyone, but hate is strong." He replied

"Why do you hate her ?" He asked before I rested my head back on the seat

"That man put me through what he did, she stayed with him,and now she's forcing me to go back around him like it's nothing." I said

"I'm gonna loose every friendship and everything is getting changed around because Of her." I explained

"What if I moved up there too ? We start new together that way we'll be closer-

"You have way much more to Lose than I do." I said before he sighed

"I have you to lose, and that's more then all of this other shit." He told me

"I promise we'll figure something out Saige, but I just need you to do me a favor and don't try to take shit in yo own hands ight ? You just focus on making every moment count." He added before reaching in the glove department and holding up my keys

"Do not. Break. Curfew." He clearly said before I smiled and he moved the keys

"After 3:30 this ain't no free school day." He said before I smacked my teeth and laughed
