I week later-

Saige-

"Ok, one..two..three."my daddy called before we lifted Mani up to his bed and he grunted in pain.

"You good ?" Nae asked

"Yea im straight, can y'all hand me my controller ?" He asked before I grabbed it and handed it to him.

After a while he looked at us confused

"Im straight I don't need y'all hovering over me." He chuckled before I smacked my teeth and we all piled out of the room.

"Let's go do something." Nae said before I looked at her

"Like what ?" I asked

"Mall and then my house ?" She asked before I shrugged and we jogged downstairs

"Me and Nae are going to the mall." I said before he nodded

"Can you Try to be back before 9:00?" He asked before I furrowed my eyebrows

"9?"

"You know what's going on, but I'm not locking you up for it, I just wanna make sure you're safe." He said before I sighed

"9:00" he repeated as we walked out the door.

Once we got into the car I pulled out before Nae played some music and noticed the bruises on her arm were covered.

Before I could speak she beat me to it.

"So how are you feeling ?" She asked

"Nothing." I said before she side eyed me and I laughed

"Sorry that sounded weird, I mean I'm not feeling awful but I'm not happy either, I don't know." I shrugged

"What about you ? Be honest please." I said before she raised her eyebrows

"Girl life is just, life." She laughed before we sat in silence

"Has Desmir ever made you feel uncomfortable ?" I asked before she looked at me and shrugged

"I mean yea when we argue I guess.. nothing major." She shrugged

"Oh ok, I was just asking because of the bruise situation early and he grabbed you so I thought-"

"Saige he's not hitting me." She sighed

"I didn't say that."

"But that's what you think, trust me I'm reacting if he tried it." She smiled

"I know it's easier said then dine though, I know with my mom's boyfriend, I didn't speak up and-"

"This isn't the same situation Saige. Just leave it alone." She said before shaking her head and j rolled my eyes

"Bet."

Once we got to the mall we looked around for a while and got shit that we didn't even need foreal.

We finally decided on sitting down to eat, Nae got Chinese, and I got a Philly cheese steak from Charlie's.

"Saige ?" We heard before I turned around to see Ahmad approaching us.

Once he made it over he gave me and Nae a side hug before taking a piece of my sandwich causinf me to mug him.

"I should beat your assss." J sighed before he chuckled

"I'll pay you back, maybe." He shrugged before I smacked my teeth

"What you doing out here ?" I asked
