I went up for a shot and it bounced right back off the rim causing me to shake my head

"Fuck." I mumbled

"Glenn get on the court, Chris sit out for a minute." My coach called before I furrowed my eyebrows

"What ?" I asked

"You heard me get off of my court!" He called out before I smacked my teeth and jogged over

"It's just a bad practice-"

"And then it'll be just a bad game." He said and I shook my head

"That's the real problem, you can't listen, I don't need anything else from you today I've seen enough." He said before walking away and I shook my head before walking back to the locker room.

I ran my hand down my face before kicking a locker out of anger and sitting down. I looked over at my phone before picking it up and going to my contact list.

"Saige, leave a message."

"I know shit went downhill at the beach, but you've been Missing in action for a week now and we just wanna make sure you're straight ight ? Call me back." I said before ending and resting my head back on the lockers.

Once I left practice I went straight to Ahmad's to figure out why he skipped today. I knocked on the door and he opened it with a tired look

"Was you sleep ?" I asked

"Something like that." He mumbled before I walked in

"Why you skip practice ?" I asked

"I had to finish up some college shit but I ended up falling asleep." He said and I nodded

"They still haven't got to you ?"He asked and I shook my head

"Duke isn't sounding that bad right about now." I said and Ahmad smacked his teeth

"Hell nah, you need to figure out what's going on cause I know damn well you got that offer." He said

"So you think it's something deeper to it ?" I asked

"Hell yea, ain't no way I got a full ride scholarship and yo career points looking like they on crack." He said before I chuckled

"So if I was you I'd go talk to coach personally and figure out wassup, If anybody deserves that scholarship, it's you Nigga." He said before dapping me up

"But real shit have you heard from Saige?" He asked

"Nah, we've been calling non stop and we think we might have to go ahead and tell her family. We know the last thing she wants is for her face to be plastered everywhere as missing." I said

"To be fair y'all did overwhelm her, y'all completely lost sight of the fact that she just lost her ma and her family did it." He said before I looked down

"Yea I fucked up." I nodded

"And did." He said before I looked at him

"Don't quote that shit." He warned before we both laughed

"But there's this party tonight that I think we should go too." He said and I chuckled

"Nigga now is not the time for no damn party." I mumbled

"Just slide through for a little and head right back out, it's a Friday night and the only Friday night that we have off from a game." He said and I smacked my teeth
