- Willow's POV -
Storming inside, I hadn't even realized I'd left my bag in the car but at that moment, I didn't care.
I headed up to my room. It was barely furnished. Looking around at the empty space, it wasn't the only thing that felt empty.
I missed Lando more than I let on. I felt hollow and I wasnt sure how I would ever get used to not having his arms to run into when I was upset.
I pull out my phone and dial his number. The line rings and rings with no answer when I realize that he was in a meeting. I lock my screen and launch it at the bed.
How could he just assume the worst about me without even getting to know me? I had been so excited for a fresh start, but even here, I was just Lawrence Stroll's fucking niece.
I felt so much anger and I wasn't sure why I got so worked up. I was used to people speaking negatively about me.
Maybe it was the stress of moving or the fact that I couldn't be with the love of my life. Or maybe it was the fact that this asshole that I've already had to pull the dad car with a guy that I've known for a solid 20 minutes.
Breaking my train of thoughts, my phone rings and I grab it, scrunching my eyebrows when I see Lando's picture pop up as he FaceTimes me.
I press the green button.
"Hey, you okay?" He immediately asks
"Mhm" I say trying my best not to cry
"I told Zac this call was an emergency so I have some time if you wanna talk about something" he says gently and my heart melts into a puddle
"I ju—
I was cut off when the door flies open and in comes Lucas.
"I had no idea Will."
I stare at him blankly, not to sure what to say.
"Is this supposed to be you apologizing? Cause you're missing a few parts" I point out
He blinks.
Lando listens silently.
"I didn't mean to offend you" Lucas adds
I scowl, my eyes glancing at Lando on the screen, only to see him making the same face that I was.
"That's still not an apology mate. I don't know who you are or what you did but you've clearly done something to upset my beautiful girl and you better fix it" Lando pipes up and I fight the urge not to smile as I turn my head to face Lucas
He was too stunned to speak.
Speaking to Lando reignited the fire I had previously had inside me. Suddenly I wasn't upset or angry anymore.
"Listen Lucas, I'll have you know that I don't need nor want an apology from you. Its not my first time meeting a man who's ego is so big he thinks he can say whatever he wants without considering the person in front of them. Frankly, I don't care what you think of me or what you think you know about me. So, if you could please show yourself out of my room and allow me to continue my conversation with my boyfriend , which you not so kindly interrupted, I would greatly appreciate it" I say with a fake smile at the end
