"put that down!"

screams echoed down the hall, the sounds of my best friends arguing about the placement of furniture was incredibly loud and obnoxious.

i sighed, dream would not let kayla have her way with the decor. i thought dream and i fought a lot, until i saw the way he interacted with kayla. those two are just so headstrong.

i was in my room, which i was now sharing with nick. we had just about everything set up, but we're still trying to figure out how we were going to do our streaming set ups. everyone else had their own rooms so it wasn't really an issue, but nick and i often streamed at the same time and it wasn't always together. basically it wouldn't work being in the same room if we wanted to make money to afford our new expensive purchase of a house.

one of us was going to have to go in the guest room, i just had to convince him that he should do it. my setup is much better to look at anyway.

"why are you sighing? what's wrong?"

i snapped my head to the boy standing in the doorway, smiling as i laid my eyes on him.

"oh nothing, just listening to the two of them"

he walked into the room, sitting down beside me on new bed, "i know i had to get out there, something about the couch needing to face the window and not the tv"

i chucked at that, knowing that kayla had a thing for natural light and could care less about a big tv being the focal point of a room. dream likely opposed this, in favor of the couch facing the tv he wanted to buy. his argument likely being that it would be perfect for 'roommate movie nights'

i would definitely be team tv, but kayla would kill me if i sided against her, so this is one silly little argument that i'll be staying out of.

"so how are you going to arrange your setup in the guest bedroom?" i asked nick, slyly changing the subject so i could work on getting my way. we hadn't decided on him being the one to take the spare room yet but i knew that with a little bit of encouragement from me he would do it.

"what are you talking about? your stuff is going in there!" he chirped back at me.

"yeah right, rock paper scissors?"

he smiled at me once i suggested the game, thinking he actually had a chance at beating me.

"rock"

"paper"

"scissors"

"shoot!"

i pulled scissors, like an intellectual. and just as i expected, nick played paper. earning me the right to stay in our bedroom.

"you're too predictable" i told him as he shook his head at me. "

"i just let you win"

i chucked, "whatever you say lover boy"

he stood up from the bed, starting to walk away when he stopped abruptly. turning back around and quickly pecking me on the lips.

"get dressed" he said to me, "i'm taking you out."

little bumps formed across my arms at his words, i absolutely adored going on dates with him. plus after last night i had a feeling he was going to "officially" drop the L word on me.
