"You're funny, are you from around here? "- New

They are currently walking a trail towards New's cabin. New in between Shola and Tay.
Tay wouldn't dare go near the ferocious beast as he assessed her to be.
Shola is a female white moose. Which are very rare in the mountains of Canada.

New was a ranger in the forest of the Great Lakes St. Lawrence Region in Canada.
He was not a native, he is a mixed race. His mom was Thai and his dad was an American.
New Thitipoom is how he introduced himself his American surname was Jacobs. But he barely uses it since his mom and dad were not married.
As they hiked a mile Tay got to know that New was originally from California where he grew up and moved here in Canada to his grandma's home. And then found work as a ranger in the forest for over 2 years now. Currently living in the heart of the wilderness.

Tay POV

I wondered how can he give up his job in California as a lawyer and live as a ranger slash hermit in Canada.
Looking over him with a jacket-like cloak, a shotgun hung from his shoulders, and the other hand holding the leash he had put on the moose.
Glancing over Shola who just snorted out of the blue I flinched.

"Relax, she's a princess. She won't harm you" - New

"Huh?harm?she nearly killed me, impaling me with her antelope, monster like a horn!"- Tay

"Hey? she's got feelings! stop that."- New

He nuzzled his head over Shola's neck nearly as twice as big as New's head.

"Is it still far? "- Tay

"No, just a few more. Why got so tired easily city boy?"- New

He smirked at me petting Shola like they were both mocking me. I scoffed at them.

"If it weren't for your goddamn pet, I wouldn't have a hard time walking! Shut up!"- Tay

"What?" - New

He suddenly stopped.

"What?"- Tay

"What!"- New

"What?!!"- Tay

"Show me?"- New

"What?!"-Tay

"What! What, what?!.. Tsk! We wouldn't get anywhere with your questions" - New

He kneeled raising my pants.

"What the hell are you doing?!"- Tay

"Shut up and tell me which foot or I'll have Shola here puncture your ass" - New

He looked dead serious I gulped and showed him my right foot after sitting down at a nearby rock ledge at the side of the trail.
It was worst than I thought, It was swollen in black and blue.

"Tsk! Why didn't you say sooner" - New

"It's alright just a sprain besides I can't feel pain yet." - Tay

"You can't feel pain because it's numb by now, come get on Shola's back" - New

"Oh hell no! I am not in any way getting on that huge as moose, no no way!"- Tay

"Tsk so picky city boy! Get on my back!"- New

"I swear, I'm alright!"- Tay

"This would never end without a fight huh" - New

He slung his gun to Shola's horn and cracked his knuckles as he walked closer to me.

"Hey New..." - Tay
