Shapeshifting is useful....until it gets you caught in a race
Above is what I imagine baby Ming would look like, if she turned into a shadow like Macaque

No, I will not be adding DBK and Iron Fan into the race, I want my supportive demon family, and I'll get my supportive demon family

"She's so cute!~" Mei squealed, her and MK looking down at the small ferret in Macaque's paws, it's golden eyes looking back at the two.

"How'd this happen?" Pigsy asked, looking up at the simian, brow raised.

Pigsy, Tang and the two teens, hadn't expected Macaque to walk in with a baby ferret on his shoulder, the small golden eyed creature in place of where Ming would normally enter with her father. When asked why said she-monkey wasn't there, the tan simian had told them that the ferret on his shoulder, was in fact Ming.

"She was practicing shapeshifting with Wukong," The shadow demon hummed, gently handing Ming to a pair of squealing teens, the two crying tears over how adorable she looked in her current form. "A mountain monkey startled her mid-shift and she got stuck like this, so I'll need to find the spell to change her back, since she can't seem to do it herself. I think she's blocked something, which is why she's stuck."

"Why drop her off here?" Tang spoke up, taking a bite of his noodles, which Macaque had been kind enough to pay for. "Shouldn't she stay at the mountain for the time being?"

"Unfortunately, the book that contains said spell, is buried somewhere within my airheaded husband's trash pile," Macaque's nose scrunched up in distaste. "And Wukong is busy relocating a monkey family on the east side of the island, after a pair of idiotic lesser demons tried to fight said airhead, resulting in the destruction of a forest."

"How'd it get stuck in a trash pile?" Pigsy's face held disgust, he also knew the feeling, as MK's room....wasn't the tidiest.

"Because the idiot I married is a hoarder," Macaque sighed, the three adults turning to look over at MK and Mei, who were taking pictures and feeding Ming fruit slices, cooing when she used the tiny ferret paws to hold and eat said food. "And he likes to randomly snatch my things, even when I ban him from touching them....honestly, it just encourages him."

"In any case, we'll be sure to keep a close eye on her," Tang hummed. "Though, with those two constantly gushing over how cute your daughter is, I don't think it'll be much of a problem."

"Thank you both," The yaoguai smiled at the two. "This is a huge help."

The noodle shop duo waved Macaque off, watching as he disappeared in a whirl of shadows, turning back to see that the teens were now watching the TV, Ming resting on MK's shoulder.

"A Peach of Immortality!~" The two teens gasped, eyes sparkling in awe, faces nearly touching the TV screen.

"A peach of what now?" Pigsy asked, confused as to what the two were talking about, causing the duo to gasp in shock and horror.

"Pigsy, seriously?!" MK and Mei started off on a rant, but due to the fact that they were both talking over each other, nothing registered in the pig demon's head.

"Ahem," Tang spoke up, everyone turning to where the scholar sat, book open in one hand. "If you'll allow me~"

Ming gave out a squeak, eyes sparkling in excitement to hear another story about her father Monkey King, making the two teens squeal at how adorable her squeak was, before Tang got them to focus back on the story.

"Legend says, there is a scared field of trees which grows in the Heavenly Realm, protected by the gods themselves," Tang reads aloud, the kids all listening intently, as Pigsy rolls his eyes in the background. "Every few thousand years, these trees bring forth the Peaches of Immortality. Against the wishes of the heavenly host, the Monkey King took them all. Making himself immortal!"
