Warning: Violence, torture (haha, traumatized MK go brrrrrrrr)

Ah, yes....✨Trauma✨

Waking up, MK scrambled to his feet and looked around in confusion, seeing himself alone and in front of some strange temple, surrounded by trees with windchimes of varying shapes and sizes hanging off their branches.

His ears flicked as the sound of footsteps echoed from within the temple, and a young woman appeared from within, "Are you ready to meet the master?"

"Um...sure?" Giving her a nervous smile, the monkey got up and brushed himself off, following behind her and gasping in awe at the sight that greeted him on the other side of the doors, thousands of students studying and training together.

"Welcome to the Temple of the Slanted Moon and Three Stars, where a select few are chosen to be trained under our master Subodhi," She explained, as they walked further inside, spotting members studying scrolls and doing mock battles. "To become wise sages in the future."

"Wait, so if this is where pa--Monkey King, trained under his master than....could I meet him then? Your master?" Turning with a hopeful gaze in his chocolate brown eyes, the female went to sadly decline his request, only for a pair of men to interrupt her.

"You really think you're worthy of meeting the master on your first day?" The first--who MK deemed as 'baldy'--arrogantly smirked over at the simian prince.

"No one has even seen Master Subodhi in fifty years," The second--dubbed 'snobby'--continued.

"You have got to be kidding me," The prince deadpanned, his tail lashing about angrily, as his eye twitched slightly. "I don't...I don't really have time to wait that long. You see, I'm looking for--"

"Listen here ponytail!"--Was that really the best insult they could come up with?--"You may try to get past us to see him, but be warned," 'Snobby' sneered, as he and his friend got into fighting positions.

"But between us, we've nearly mastered two of the seventy-two transformations!~" Both arrogantly smirked.

Looking between them with a bored expression, MK let out a snort of amusement, "Reealllyyy impressive, truly but uh...tell me," The monkey's form began to shift and change, as his body began to lengthen and stretch, face becoming rectangular, and scales beginning to cover fur, as he took on the shape of a dragon. "ᶜAяE tσ 𝔩EAяŇ t𝓱E σt𝓱Eя şEѶEŇt𝕪?"

Both of the conceited students paled in fear, as the teenager opened his mouth to let out a blast of flames, the pair crying out in horror as they were chased around by the dragon-monkey for a bit, with MK eventually letting them get away, as he turned back to normal and managed to find Subodhi's room, using the shadows to enter, only to bump into the very man himself.

"U-uh...heh, heh....the front door was open?" The deadpan expression he received from the older gentleman had the simian bowing apologetically, "Sorry for sneaking in Master Subodhi, but I really needed to see you and--"

"I know why you're here child," The white bearded adult interrupted, causing the monkey to straighten up and blink curiously. "That is why I had my student bring you here."

"So you've seen my dad's?!" A hopeful expression painted the royal's face, only to be completely wiped away when the teacher shook his head 'no'. "Then why--?"

"The voices...you've heard them, yes?"

MK flinched, when he remembered his encounter with the strange whispers, their noises stopping once he'd kicked the monk's staff, only to return later during their encounter with the possessed Pigsy.....he hadn't told anyone else.
